Y34 Ipod integration?

Ive searched high and low for an adapter or a way to add an aftermarket stereo, or [B][I]anything [/I][/B]for this car and have come up short.
 
These ar the only 2 threads I can find that address the matter. Is this really the only way to add my ipod? On my G35 I bought all the correct adapters and was able to hook it up so I can change the song on my ipod through my steering wheel.
 
What have some of you Y34 fellers done?

I pretty much gave up. The Sat subscription ran for almost a year after I got it, now I'm stuck w/ CD's. Oh well.  You could always do the tape deck wire out, but it won't charge obviously. At least on 04's the tape deck is in the glove box so I wouldn't see the wire but still lame so I don't even waste my time with it.

I just can't accept that. Lol. THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING FOR CHRIST SAKES.

So, the way my G35 worked is through the satelite harness, Nissan commonly uses the same harnesses throughout all their cars on their stereos, has it ever been confirmed that the G35 cord wont work on our M45's? Believe me I would search, but theres not exactly a wealth of information or support on these cars. : (

I found this stuff. I wonder if its legit. Anybody have experience with this?

 i spoke with a tech at this website he called usaspec direct and he told me that the tech at usaspec is almost 100% sure it will work on my 03 q45 which has the same system as the m45. he gave me usaspac tech support # to verify 626 890-6410. hope this helps

This topic has been beat to death on other forums (NICO,Fresh, etc..) and the out come has been the same. I've been in touch with some of the best installer and they all say one word "CUSTOM" look at the link from a member named "Boon" on Nico

I also noticed, BOON made that write-up in 2008, thats 3 years ago, just wondering if theres any new developments in the last 3 years. I am doing BOON's mod, but putting my own little twist on it. Ill post a write-up when Im finished.

I dont think the installer.com cord will work.

exactly. click on it and follow the directions. Custom is the best and cheapest solution. You found the solution to your own question :shrug: There hasn't been anything new since that post. I follow Nico, Fresh and this forum and nothing new has developed in regards to ipod intergrations.   Good luck and keep us posted

On my G35 I had the cord that wold allow me to control the Ipod through my steering wheel controls...thats the kind of cord I am wanting...but I can see the support just isnt there for these cars. Ill just use the damn AUX jack. To me controlling your ipod and driving is not different than text while driving.

yep....welcome to the downside of owning the Y34.  Nice car, but................:pat: you cant find shit for it.
