VIP? I prefer to think stanced...

Here's my 3GS

Carson kit
Megan coilovers with UAS air ride
Rolled pulled and flared rear end, a lot of body work to make the wheels fit, but kept it as stock looking as possible.
DVD and Nav override
Rotiform 3 pice BLQ, gold anodized face.

I'm a fan of VIP but also a fan of stanced cars, so I built the best of both worlds, well in my opinion.

In case you wondering the car is AWD, so yes this is the lowest the front will go unless I decide to cut out my upper fenders...

"Stanced" is just a term created to define how a car sits and it's accompanying fitment...it's not a style of its' own.  Vip is a style, and most of the cars who do it right just also happen to be "stanced".

Looks like the start of a nice vipcar to me!  What's next on the agenda?

Guess I feel that the rusty air tank and gold BLQ's make it a little more euro style. The camber, air and lexus def are VIP. Either way I'm happy with it.

Never owned a VW, owned a few Porsches, Benz's and BMW's...

I built this from stock in about 45 days, so for now nothing is next...

But I'm not big on window vents, curtains, interior gadgets, etc so I'm not really sure what there is left to do.

I think my next couple of modes with be. 70 Cuda and a Ducati...

Curtains /Fusa and So called Glitters are not true  Vip style  .. the New generation of Stancers are actually taking a page out of Vip never the Less ANother bad ass Canadian Car :biggthumpup: and Hope you can get a Photo Shoot done soon .. =)

vip isn't air and camber, and those items you mentioned are/were once common on vip cars but they were accesories. vip is not about a checklist of details, it's about creating an overall look.

it's nazi, but whatever. lol. i've learned to live with it. i remember almost getting banned on stanceworks over the "s" word. hilarious. personally i find it a little disrespetful for a new breed of enthusiasts to try and present something that some of us have been doing for a long time as something new. s'all good though. out of the hundreds of trend jumpers a few true enthusiasts with something to offer will/have emerged.

Hey don't get me wrong I'm an old man too, drop my first car 20 years ago and have been riding low ever since. I appreciate a new breed of car enthusiast and love the sh*t they do over at stanceworks...

I have seen a revival of the car scene up here and cringe when guys think they invented it.

For me anyone building and pushing the limits of "stance" or style is a good thing.

VIP, JDM, DUB, Euro, Lowrider, Hot Rod, whatever it is I'm a fan...

My buddy built an RL in MIA. 24" Auto Couture wheels, has factory air all around and cut the links for an ultimate drop. Looks nice...

When you "stance" a big body luxury sedan (preferably Japanese) you earn the vip title.  Contrary to popular US beliefs, there are no rules to this style outside of getting your luxury car super low.  There are trends but no rules. 

You built a nice unique VIP car.  Good job

i've done a lot of the uca clearance holes (the pic posted was my personal car). they work well depending on your goals. my experience is that they allow cats with air to lay out lower sometimes, but as far as low drivability they don't do a whole lot because of the low psi. for static cats they are a lot more useful because they have functional suspension at that height. the difference on my car was night and day because it gave me enough clearance not to bang my uca.
 
check out vincent's ucf20 thread to see a boxed version. a lot of people like that better.

that's a pretty dangerous statement that could easily be taken the wrong way. imo vip is a style not a platform, and while the concept may be abstract there's a (sometimes thin) line between what is and isn't. i think the op had it right the first time; the modifications to this car are clearly done in the u.s. "stance" style, it just happens to be a lexus.

It looks as if you were enjoying a creation come together, and the car resonates that vibe. I like it, Looks good sir.

We tried to keep the factory body line, it's flared about 1.5"/ side but ideally i didn't want it to show. Bodyshop made new custom bumper hangers so it could still bolt up and hold properly.

Was originally planning on going static but because I could get the drop I wanted without a horrible ride I decided to air up.
