Newbie build...

So here we go! This will be a slow process compared to some on here but it's a start never the less! Started looking for wheels thinking 18's (let me know if your selling wheels I have about a $1-1500 budget) I'd like to go pretty low or low for static, this car is my current DD so I want a little comfort but with low comes stiff so.......

I would run 19's.  They will fill the fender a lot better

Looks like you're on the right track! I would say 19's too, it's a big car after all.

Little update..........I ended up going with 18's 9.5 +12 & 10.5 +6 should arrive in a week or so I'll get some pics and more updates soon. Thanks for all the help thus far!

Got busy this past Saturday, Megans are in and started to roll the fenders and do some fitment test!

Thanks...Probably not enough stretch, I ordered 225/35 and 235/40's they are 9.5/10.5 but I still think I might need to go smaller but we'll see at least I'm at the fun part!

yea its gonna be tough with how tight they fit without tires...nothing undoable tho, gonna look sick!

Wheels are on need to do some innner fender work but I broke a damn bolt off one of the center caps :pat: so I need to drill/tap/extract........ sux. I'm going to order some heavier spring rates or just yard out the megans this low on 18's is going to do some damage with 12k/8k but hell I'm having fun so who cares!

rear fitment is absolutely awesome..ive heard issues with megans getting the ucf10 down low...is the front maxed?

Thanks! I read your build thread it's full of win by the way....the front has the ability to max the UCA's to the tower so it can go way lower without a problem I raised it up about a inch to be able to drive it, the rear is another story...UCF20 fyi.
 
The exhaust is draggin on just about everything so I can't go lower till I get it tucked. I'm pretty happy but for sure need to go stiffer, it's my daily so I need to do a few tweeks here and there to keep from puckering while I drive!

Is that a Dragway fender roller you got there? How's it compared to others (Eastwood, Tire Rack) if you happen to know. Later.

You know I have no idea its a ebay special....worked really good I have some dimples here and there but plan on painting next year so no biggie.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! Did some work this weekend! first I replaced the magical temp sensor, I was a huge skeptic that it would do anything but it does.....maybe, way more throttle response and overall runs better/smoother although I did find some cracked vacume lines so the jury is out?

I broke this fitting and had to repair it...bummer. Yes i cleaned the dirt off :)

So next I replaced the motor mounts, I did the crossmember method which was cake, but it would have been nice if it wasn't 110 degrees out cold beverages helped that!(did trans mount a couple weeks ago) They where really squished I ended up getting about a 1/2" of height out of the new ones so I lowered the car that much in the front!!!! New one is on the bottom.

Then I changed the oil and replaced the air filter (all that dirt if from one tap on the ground) small colony of insects as well!....looks like the PO didn't do much......

Not a whole lot of rain here but I'd still like to cover them up for the dirt factor.......I'm not fabricator so it might be a bit?

U got those 2 kinks on each side of the fenders huh. That's why I always suggest to cut Lexus fenders. They are very strong as they are. anyhow car looks great

yeah I dimpled the hell out of the front and back but I'm going to re-paint as soon as I save the funds....the gold needs to go!
