2nd gen Odyssey newbie

Just dropping in to say hi. Some of the members on here will recognize me from the Scion scene. I'm in the process of parting out that car due to having reached the limit with what I could do on the wife's daily driver and her having had an accident with it. She was fine and the car was repaired but it made me realize that I had reached the practical limits with it. So that being said I've decided to start a very slow VIP build with my daily, a 2002 Honda Odyssey. I know there isn't much out there for this car and that's sort of what I like. I've always taken the odd car and built parts for it to suite my taste. I've started a table build for the passenger side, will be rebuilding my center console/sub/amp enclosure to a VIP style setup, and have the part to do aseperate projector and high beam retrofit in the headlights.

That's it for now.

OK I need some opinions. I mocked up a front table for the passenger side but I'm not sure if it should be 3/4 or 1/2" wood.

This is what it looks like in 3/4

I just mocked it up with some oak ply and 1/16" aluminum trim. I figured out it is going to need to be about 2" deeper than it is right now to accomodate proper cup holder trims so ignore the depth. Let me know what you think.

I think I might be leaning toward the 1/2" just to open it up some more. Anyone else got thoughts on it?
