doors dont lock

I have a F50 and the front doors recently stopped locking.....all four doors lock but as of now only the rear doors lock....would any afteemarket alarm fix this?

Sounds like the actuators for the power door lock are out. You have to replace those. The doors still actually lock right?

yeah the doors still lock....i have to lock the doors then puch in the knob on the door....... thanx...is replacing the actuators a difficult task?

don't know how the f50 is but i've done a couple of hondas and toyotas. if you're mechanically inclined and not afraid to get your hands dirty then you can do it yourself. i never had a manual, if you know how to take your door apart, its an easy fix. if none of those things apply to you, your best bet is to go to a shop.

I don't know about the F50, but in my GS it was about 200 per lock to buy the new actuator assemblies. There were some DIY's with new actuators, and there were a couple of shops that would do it for about 60 per door including labor. You'll have to check out some nissan specific sites to find out if you can remedy it. It makes me want my next vehicle with all manual locks and windows, less things to go wrong!
