Damn, dude wasnt even a U.S. Citizen to begin with nd he still got the lethal injection... despite the white house (Obama nd them) nd several other channels' attempts to stop the execution.

Lol... Yeah Texas is pretty much on another level, to me this state feels like a whole different country sometimes when compared to most states I've been/lived in. But Yeah, any rapists nd child killers should be sentence to death regardless of the situation. I was just surprised at the little power/pull Obama had over that matter, and the Mexican diplomatic intervention attempts as well... it was just like a big FUCK YOU to both Obama nd Mexico, lol. Though looking from some angles, maybe Obama was just trying to live up to democratic anti death penalty policy but deep down wasnt really concerned with the guy (especially since he has 2 daugthers) nd Mexico was just trying to act like a concerned country. Politics.

This was all the way the right thing.  I love many of the things that Texas does politically, and this represents yet another.  Nothing like a group of people, represented by a state, dismissing the PC nature of this country and taking up for what is right.  I can't say that I am 100% in lock step with some of the cultural perspectives (and thus their legislative enforcement) however when it comes to murder, rapists, and all around bad dogs, Texas gets it done!

I just recently moved to South Florida and was hoping / under the impression that many people down here were similar, given the heavy Cracker and redneck populations, but sadly it is not this way.  All that I see here is rampant stupidity and arrogance, rather than a strong belief in doing what is right most simply do what is easy.

The putting to death of another person is always going to be a touchy subject, but given the nature of the crime, and the admittance of guilt, I don't see a reason why this was not the right thing to do.
