Y33 headlight question

Hey everyone, I did some searching but gave up after a little while of browsing. (got lazy) hehe. Anyways, I was wondering if you can use the factory HID ballists and bulbs from a Xenon set of headlights and put them onto a non HID set of headlights? Because I am thinking about getting a set of Cima Touring model headlights because of the lack of the amber reflectors and my headlights are kinda blah. I know they have both HID and non HID ones and was hoping to maybe save a lil money and get the non HID ones and put the HID stuff from my factory headlights onto those. Thanks for all your help.

I believe the stock bulb size on the JDM non HID headlights is H4, meaning you would have to cut up the new housings to fit your factory D2 bulbs in there... no bueno

I do have a set of JDM headlights with the factory HIDs, but true if you're looking to save money it might be too much

I'm actually looking for a set of factory HID black housing headlights if you wanted to trade (my jdm factory lights aren't black housing though :( )

It won;t be to hard to mod. Trim the inside a little and the D2 bulb will fit in no problem.

Thanks guys for your input. I guess I'll just have to shell out the 900 for the jdm ones. lol. Orrrr just get the non hid ones and get some aftermarket hids. haha.
