Anyone near northern Okinawa?

Hey everyone!  Havent been on in a while, been busy with work stuff.  Anyways!  I've been relocated to Okinawa, Japan (Camp Schwab, northern region of Okinawa.)  Anyone one close to that area?  I just got here and will be living here for the next 13 months, so I think now would be a good time to start introducing myself ha.

Hey man, you think you can send a fellow Soldier back some items if I get you the cash? I have a buddy at Yokota but he has no idea about the VIP lifestyle. I personally have been trying to get stationed there for like 10 years, lol, no luck. Lemme know if you can hook me up on occasion, Bruce

Yea man that would be great.  Everyone that I'm stationed with wanna go to Gate 2 street and look at the banana show ha.  Myself, I wanna see the cars.  So if you can hook it up with some info that'd be sweet.  Hopefully its near camps ha.  All I can take is the Green Line bus.  We are not allowed to have cars :(

What would those be ha.  We have some pretty dumb rules ourselfs.  Atleast yall get cars, we have to take a freaking bus everywhere.

just moved back to okinawa in june 2012,, found a japanese vip meet but my japanese isn't so good, but i'm re-learning, slowly ;)

i'm working on my crown grs182 build right now.

where and what time is that chatan meet? chatan is kinda crowded these days so a more specific meeting spot would be awesome...

anyone else in okinawa, hit me up.

dude, yeah the roads are kinda shitty in places, plus the huge driveways at various places really sucks.  this is why i'm getting my air cup susp installed this weekend ;)

Chatan is not a big place every 4th Sunday as stated.  But by jesco would be a good start.

Umm, not trying to be difficult but chatan is fairly large and not knowing a specific time makes it really hard too.  So you recommend to sit in the jusco (its now called aeon btw) parking lot all day and hope some vip cars show up? How about if someone said honolulu beach front area on a sunday, time unknown, kinda hard to tell i think.

chatan is approx 13.62 km² with over 30-35k people living there; when i lived here in 02 the jusco area or american village/hamby town wasn't too big but after just moving back and seeing it now i'd say it has grown close to 3 to 4 times larger in size and stores/restaraunts in the various surrounding strip malls...  they are presently putting up a 3rd hotel tower that is supposed to be even larger than the last one that was freakin huge that was finished in 05 i believe.  the beach area has grown immensely and is not nearly as low rent as it used to be.  its definitely very much commercialized and getting more higher end than it used to be.  i was shocked to see how much it had grown in 10 years and even more shocked to see the next phase development they have planned....   and as you may know its all man-made reclaimed land.

my wife and i stopped for ice cream last saturday night and sat in the back parking lot over by the sega arcade building and i saw about 10 vip cars stroll through (all japanese in about 2 different caravans or two different crews if you will) and i saw 1 amazing SC430 and LS430 (ucf31) come through together and they would have stole the show at most of the MD/DC/VA meets i am used to attending.  i can't wait till i can get out there mingle ;)  but my wife said she won't translate for me at a car meet ;)  she won't support my habbit that much  ;)

i think i'd fit in the upper middle of what i normally see hanging out late night.  last sat night around 3am in naha on kokusai street i saw a whole crew of japanese folks that looked to have a little more $$$ than most car clubs if you know what i mean and they were all mean muggin as i walked past admiring their rides.  don't understand the point of being out on the street showing off your car and then mean mugging any passerby that seems to admire it.  i know in osaka some of the hardest looking cats are some of the friendliest if you just pay their rides respect in knowing which has some hard work put in with their stance and offset and what not.

I can't help you with your people skills. You went through all the trouble of researching Chatan.  But I told you where to start. 4th Sunday end of the month.  Jusco. And the 4th Sunday would be tomorrow for you.

There is a used dealership by futenma back gate that caters to VIP style and styled cars.  I can't think of the name. The owner introduced me to the meet.

People skills huh? I will have to research that one too sometime, or maybe you can teach me since you seem to have a lot ;)... Tomorrow we are supposed to get 120-145 mph winds in a super typhoon.

i just talked to garcia-san and he said the meet is sunday nights (4th sunday) over by the sega building on the back corner of the american village.  so thank you for the tip/info, now i know.

i had a zenki to kouki (upgraded to all kouki facia etc) y33 gloria when i lived out here from 02-04 that was really modded (body kit, lowered, aggro offset wheels, custom 2 tone paint, stereo, crazy lights, grill, etc...) and was my first crack at vip, since then i've been hooked.

hey 33flavaflav are you actually located in HI, cuz in that pic you put above it looks like some liberty philly guys?  only reason i ask is cuz that car looks so familiar to me from a guy in the NE philly area i guess since the dude always rolled with the liberty crew.  i ran into him a couple times in MD where i just came from.  at smitty's bbq's and at 1 or 2 other meets, but i forget right now.

haha yeah i've met you a couple times then. i don't remember your name but i remember the car and that you had a cool looking goatee but the honolulu thing kept throwing me off, i seriously thought that one of you had straight up copied the other's car but didn't want to say anything to be rude (it was a first time for me i know, but i take car stuff more seriously, go figure ;))

dude yeah, i used to run around with the elite crew and some others in the dc area but i rarely got out of there cept for the ocean city shows and some down in VA too. i used to go up to NYC a couple times a year but blew (actually just a rip) an air bag on my old air susp setup on my way back from nyc in like 2010 and never took my car back up there after that (just took the bus). those roads are no joke, but dc and ballamore has got some serious pot hole issues too though. first time i saw your car i got all jelly cuz i tried so hard to bring mines back and ultimately, well i'm sure you can guess what happened when i moved...

new new info...  apparently the okinawa 'japanese' (not sure if there was a Y plate meet on sundays¿) vip meet is every 4th saturday from 11pm-12 at the sega parking lot area of american village/hamby town...
