new Q from Houston

Whats up fellas.  Well, I've seen this sight up for a while, never was really a troll or anything, just when pics were shown, a lot came from over here.  Didn't know if I should jump into the scene or not, and in the beginning I said not and got myself a truck.  lol.  But after a few months, got the itch to get into a project so I decided to purchase.  Got kinda lucky and found me a 97 Q45t in pretty decent shape.  Got simple plans for it in the short future, you know the basics and will get into finer details down the line.  Hope to get a lot of good advice and tricks from all of yall.  :giggity:

Nearish future expenses:

coils - set on what im getting
wheels - up in the air
kit - pretty sure i know what i want

Gonna look for an  extra pair of headlights and im probably gonna go ahead and black them out and do a retrofit.  But as of now, just fixing the little tidbits that needed to be fix when i bought it.

Looks decent, def. needs some TLC here and there but a good start. Hows the mechanicals on it. Later.

For the price, I can't complain.  Couple leaks here and there, some blown fuses, and just regular wear on the car.  Fixed most of the problems already, engine still sounds good, except gonna have to change out the timing belt soon and small leak on the valve cover, but nothing thats hurting it that bad.  All gears shift smooth and yea.  I have a mechanic I live with, so thats always helpful, actually about to run a diagnostic test today.  Just flushed and filled the freon and fixed the condenser leak.  AC extra cold now.

Good luck man! I bought mine two years ago and still haven't started the build... Finally to the point I can afford to start doing stuff and have lost interest in the car. It is super comfortable, just not very fun to drive

Oh I can see right now your in good hands with your build and welcome to the next level of car builds.
