I just went ahead and deleted any pictures I posted on the forum.  Not worth arguing over it  cause "  if we continue to butt heads on this sort of stuff its not going to end well for me"...

It's funny on my birthday I get about 15-20 emails from forums wishing me a happy birthday.   I forgot I'm a member of all of them.

I used to be on zilvia and the guys i talked to or tried to make an offer on a ride always bashed me. I don't really like zilvia anymore, but I know some of the VSC guys originated from zilvia :T

eh...I got in trouble for saying all the cars looked alike and all the modifications were the same.  You can't express your opinion cause it breaks the "sense of community".  So only thing allowed was nice car or nice pic, or nice ride....EVERYONE POSTS THAT.  When I post it, it gets deleted....nice.

Man, that sucks. You'll be missed. You are one of the few long time members that still posted regularly with lots of useful info to share. I do agree with what you are saying though. I just think they are enforcing the sense of the community thing in the wrong way.

I dont blame you for gettin mad at forums because of that. im with you speed, the problem is that people cant take the truth, so they get butt hurt. I can think of a few people on here that it happens to but unlike other forums everybody here is mostly mature and get over it. Then again I think the average age here is like 25+.

its not the group think...its the fact you cant express your feeling of dislike...they say its ok to do so, but you really can't. I'm in, everyone over their sucks and the mods are power trips. I don't even go on there to look for wheels anymore. Their vouch system is way to strict and it still warrants people getting ripped off.

i have been banned from one forum twice haha Now i hardly ever go on it, it sucks complete ball sack. They even have scrolling up ads on all pictures now. Talk about taking vendor money and pinching everyone for a dime too. Which is all fine, if it was a good place still.

Well it's their loss because from the way it seams you would of been able to teach them something. So I'm sure some over there is abusing their powers. I had a super mod do that on a site I'm the admin on and let's just say he's no longer with us!

I think this forum has been the best so far along side Ferrari chat. It wouldn't keep from doing what I do, just nice to have a community to share it with. And when there is meets, it reminds me of how awesome the people are that make up the great forum that brought us together. 

It is just sad that people get so one sided on how a car should be done. Tha people would rather argue about than listen and learn. Cause there is always more than one way to do up a car. I just happen to be correct on all the ways

I can attest to this..The forum I'm on for my car acts like the only thing acceptable for the Ls is the dub style or slight mods. There next to no cars on the forum that have work into them beyond just bolt on things, nothing like the work put in on this forum.

There like sheep all herding in the same direction, then I come along trying to  expand what has been done with the LS I get told over and over "that wont work, to much money to do,that's lame, vip sucks why do it to the ls"It's frustrating to see the potential in this car and have others bash someone trying to unlock it. Simply because their creative process is limited to that of Richard Simmons hair stylist.

I tried to ask a in depth tire question, not just the will this fit. I included tire size, adapters, offset and the overall results of the 3 lowering springs on the market, all I got was use the search button and bitching. It just amazes me the caliber of people on this website, the resourcefulness and the overall friend and family mentality....

Some forums are too big for their own good.

VSC is a really serious and conservative forum compared to the others I frequent... probably due to the scene and style of cars being more grown-up in general. But at least it has a great sense of community and cooperation between members.

All i have to say is: "there is good reason why i am posting my awd s14 build here, rather than any other related nissan forum"

H-I is alright with me. Can't go on there if you're going to get your feelings hurt though, but I think that's what makes fun and helps pass the time at work.  The term "haters" gets tossed around so loosely on there it's retarded. You just can't not like something without being called hater when in reality it's just an opinion. I suppose if you like reading the same generic comments in car pics like "nice car, nice, looks good" then H-I might seem like a haterville to some. I think this forum sometimes gets like any other.  I don't post much on any forum because any forum is the same.
I've gotten $hit on this forum for asking what the factory offset is on a car, why? Well because I should make the car fit the wheel, not buy a wheel to fit a car. Serious? Someone felt it necessary to waste their time responding to a question they didn't want to answer Why? 

There's plenty of stupid $hit on this forum just like any other.  Every forum is good in its own way, often questions are redirected to other forums because the other forum has a wealth of information on a subject.

Some times I have a hard time on forums because it seems as tho my car doesnt really "Fit" into said category.  Its got some drifter flare, some VIP styled flare, some Fitted flare...   

Im just looking for a good group of people who share the same common interest.  And the occasional idiot on the internet that can take the brunt of my opinions some times.

To be honest, if it weren't for the penultimate Lexus forum, I wouldn't have known this website existed.  I'm sure everyone can agree that anytime this place is mentioned at said forum, it's usually in a thread that turned into a heated debate about which forum is more badical.  

I remember reading a locked thread that eventually derailed to which forum was better and why.  I was curious as to what "VSC" stood for since that acronym became the antagonist in the thread so I Google'd "VSC vip" (locked thread was in VIP section).  My life has never been the same ever since.

Some comments are downright brutal here, but the fact that users are open to (harsh) criticism is a breath of fresh air; for me, at least.  It's nice to see people explain why they like or don't like something in a thread.  There are exceptions to that, obviously.  This place doesn't move fast and I like that.  I'm surprised there are threads here that exceed ten pages and [I]that's[/I] with my viewing option set at 40 posts per page.  Not that I'm complaining though.
