Hello from Ireland!

Hey guys hows it goin! Will's my name, im 22 and checking in from Ireland.

First off i'd like to say fair play on the restricting members to this section, having being involved in a car forum over here in ireland before, i think its a fantastic idea.

Anyway, i daily drive a 98 Lexus GS300, 2JZ-GE auto. 

Spec for now is very minimal, I literally have only got the car a couple of weeks

So far its sporting:
Stock bodywork
Boot lip spoiler and roof lip spoiler
Satin black 19x9.5 (f) and 10.5 (r) Weds Kranze ER-M
Driftworks/HSD coilovers
Vinyl wrapped black roof
Fresh respray in original pearl white (extra pearl added)
Tints all round
Stock interior
Debadged rear, apart from Lexus badge which is satin black
Completely satin black standard front grille


Few pics, apologies for the poor quality ones literally just lifted off facebook and the like, since pics it's been lowered a bit more.. Have a few more little bits ill be fitting in the coming weeks i want to do before i get proper pics taken.

So it all starts here. The GS is not a very popular car here due to the ridiculous car taxation system (GS for example is the euro equivilant of 1750dollars a year to tax, on top of 2000dollar insurance minimum and 5-6dollars a gallon fuel costs.. but hey, what about it!) and the VIP scene is non-existant. 

Im going to be straight out here also and say that not all aspects of the VIP scene appeal to me. Im not a bodykit fan and never have been, i prefer small lips etc that compliment the lines of an excellent standard looking car. Also decked cars are not practical so i have to sacrifice some ride height and stance for being able to actually move around, coz my car is by daily driven. However, the ethos, as such, appeals to me and is something that i hope to try achieve with this.. We'll see how we go :)

@juzzo not much left, just a few more details on the car i want to black out, better fitment and a few interior touches.. i think it will be more VIP inside than outside to be honest :/ but not to go and cause a ruckus here but im going with what my interpretation would be of a "sportier" vip style.. if that makes sense?

@a.blanco its based on engine size dude. over here the most popular engine size would be a 1.6 4cyl, which is like 400bucks to tax.. and it goes up with engine size!

Dayyyuummm... I guess is an "environmental protection" type tax... at least it's not a V8.

Welcome and what's the VIP scene like over there?

@L3GDKANG there is absolutly no VIP scene over here at all! Im quite involved with all aspects of the car scene here, whether it through our goodluggage.net blog or prodrift which is irelands drifting series (the good luggage crew which is myself and 5 other lads are all involved heavily in prodrift, both competing and behind the scenes) and I think without being a cocky douche i could safetly say im the only person going this kind of direction with a car over here..


Car is getting a serious cleaning today, garage is closed coz the owners mother died this morning (RIP) so no mechanical work will be done on the car today..
