Lkapimp's new look thread

I ve been in the process of re doing somethings on the car, new wheels, exhaust, lip kit, 3k fogs, 6k garax lo beam, front fender mods, camber arms, blacking out chrome trim,with paint, and vinyl wrap, heres how she looked at first!

I clipped this fender awhile back and wrinkled it, they were shaved already they took the 1/4 inch or so of metal leftover from shaving and hammered it over flat on the inside and smoothed it out to achieve maximum clearance for turning. New wheels are slightly more aggressive but will run the same tire on a 1/2 inch wider rim so the more aggressive stretch should allow me to still drive ;)!!!

Nice car op & nice choice of new wheels... I only hope you powdercoat them some different color cuz they're boring as hell as is, just an opinion. :biggthumpup:

thanks bro, Im going to wrap the window visors and chrome window trim in gloss black and actually paint the taillights and get rid of that smoked vinyl.

wow looks great. i didnt know vinyl can be glossy like paint.

Varianzas are dope, but I gotta agree with blanco that the basic brushed-look is kinda boring.:shrug: 
But nevertheless a promising build. Any rear fender work required with the new wheels?

the insides of the fender well are shaved flat and i have rear camber arms going on. I have had issues with painted wheels before so Im not going that route, its all gonna come together believe that!

nothing wrong or boring with brushed/machined face, polish lip...id chose it 9 times outa 10 as opposed to colored

Your car is coming along nicely, gets better and better. Congrats. Its a long way from the 22s you had before. 

I know you've had dark tails for a while, I personally don't like them, especially on your car. I'd consider doing something different with them. Even stock would look better.

Thanks alot, I came from more of a dub style when I first got into modding vehicles and really was never introduced into the VIP scene or even Lexus scene till I found Club Lexus, Im from DC and live outside Baltimore now so most of what you see is cars on big wheels except for tuner cars. My taste has definitely changed for the better i guess aside from the fact that i love my tailights;)!!! Can t wait to put my new wheels on and have the vinyl finished up then Im done for now!

He is on air, the hood is clear coated over bare metal. His plan is to bare metal the car and copper leaf the wheels and do a motor swap of some sort Ls1 or 2j something stupid!

Update: Sorry for the phone pics but here is a couple shots after I cleaned her up from having the vinyl around the windows and window visors wrapped also had the tails wetsanded and clearcoated

Thanks hommie, I was a little nervous how it was going to turn out but couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The wheels are due to hit Cali the end of the month so I hope to be all done first week of Sept or so trying to stay on top of everyone keep shit moving. Wish I didn t get fucked around by the first assholes I tried to get my wheels from! sorry I ain t get to make it out the other night we ll have to get up here soon!!

thats sick, in my personal experience the bare metal started rusting after clear coat. I'm sure theres ways around that either way very different and refreshing.

Heres and update, I have gotten my wheels installed, along with an Invidia midpipe added to my exhaust system so heres a link to the exhaust clip and some pics of new wheels, you can t see it but I also had the whole front of my car Clear bra'd;)
