Some stuff I've built using our universal struts.  If you can weld and cut, you can build air struts.

nice welds!

Very nice work, but quick ? ...isnt the integrity of the struts compromised? or it "should" hold pretty well regardless of the cuts & welding?

No cuts on the struts.  In most case I am welding tabs to an adapter tube, then to the strut.  Cooling of the weld with compressed air or water is immediate after each weld.  Same way we do it at the company.  We do all sorts of testing with this stuff.  Weld tubes throw on shock dyno.  Even when welding with out the adapter tubes we aren't seeing any changes in the graphs.  This was a huge fear of mine 10 or so years ago.
