Amistad Type D fitment on a GS400?

what kind of work is needed to get this kind of specs to fit onto a 2000 GS400?

F 19x9.5 0 225/35 Kumho ecsta 
R 19x10 -1 245/35 Falken 452

(above specs) fit a LS with a good amount of camber and shave an maybe pull.. how will it fit a GS??

i am interested in picking up a set but i want to make sure i can make it fit the car. or is there some fender flares i can get that will make the wheels fit easier?

the top specs took a lot of work to fit on that LS and what you can't really make out from pics is the large front pull...

Honestly, if you're making this sort of a topic, I don't think you're going to be willing fit those specs.

With enough camber, a nice pull and enough stretch you can do it. Keep in mind the top LS is running a spacer to clear the calipers, you wont need to do that on your gs. Im speaking of the top setup of course. The bottom set is really extreme for stock fenders and I dont know about flairs on a GS IMO.

19x9.5 +0 is going to be a challenge on the front of the GS- they are 1.3" further outboard than my 20x9.5 front wheels, and my front fenders are pulled 1/4" (my front camber is only -2.2 degrees and tires are 255/30-20 on 20x9.5). 

You might get away with it with narrow tires, a major pull (flare?) and with the air suspension all the way down (you DO have air,don't you?) - with the car at a 'normal' ride height, they will stick out.

The rears will definitely stick out and may require more of a flare than a pull.
The 19x10 +1 is 3/4" further out than my rear wheels. (my rear quarters are pulled a few millimeters and the lips are chopped; rear camber is also -2.2 degrees, but I am running a huge 305/25-20 on 20x11.5"). You might get the tire tread to tuck with a 225/35-19...

I ran a comparison of the set-ups you posted below:

19x9.5 +0 versus
19x10  -10 *will sit the same on the inside and 1" (25mm) further OUTBOARD

19x10  +1 versus
19x11  -10  *will sit 2mm more inboard and about 1" (24mm) further OUTBOARD

if youre in hawaii, then youre set.  you just ask the seller if he knows anyone who would do your fender work.  a few days work and lots of pizza later, and you're off to paint with your new wheels.

Yup I can make um fit. Just buy me 2 cases of Heineken and all you have to do is get it repainted!

i dont have air..  its on tein ha slammed to the ground.  Thanks for the replies.  guess this sounds like something i cant do.  i will have to look into it more.

definitely not a bad start. Alot lower than most GS owners on CL dare to go. Problem w/ your coils is they're probably almost bottomed out now at your current height... Car looks good, just I'm not sure if you want to go through all the work required to fit those exact wheel specs. They are pretty extreme for most people... I would recommend getting different wheels unless you really want to spend more money making them fit.

that why i started the thread. i wanted to know what kind of work i was getting myself into.  the most i can probably do myself is probably shave and some light pull with lots of camber. (the rear already has -2.5 camber. cant adjust any better)  still in search for wheels.  

and as for blown coilovers... probably are blown.  but ride is still really nice.  i was in the market for airbags but heard different stories from different people about ride quality and i am not ready to spend $3000 - $4000 to find out if i like them or not.  i like the stiffer rider from coilovers.

blown? err, didn't mention anything about blown coils... but I'm running JIC VIP FLTA2 coilovers on my UCF... nothing wrong with coils.

rather buy used because i change my mind a lot and dont want to waste money on buying new and selling it for half the price... not Rich enought to do that just yet.

I say go for it with the size of the 1st set.......... like on the Gold LS. The second set those offsets are way to much unless your willing to try....... and if they dont work out sell them adn get a diffrent set.

The rears will fit with enough camber and stretch. If youre talkin about those ones on memoryfab you might wanna think twice cause those are kinda beat unless youre planning to redo them. Chipping chrome and bad oxidation, but theyre still nice wheels.

redoing wheels can be quite costly... might just be best bet to order the right offset from the get go and get new mint condition wheels.

Your still gonna have to do a minor pull.

i dont think so. i have +15 with about 0.2" more room. +3=0.1" more will be fine.

yeah. those profound does seem too pricy for the condition their in.  i guess i will start looking at some new wheels.  i think a minor pull will be ok if its needed.  just nothing to the limit of needing to get re-welded and painted.

If you want to get USED I have a set almost the same size and offsets  [B]EndlessNA1[/B] has and the same style wheels.
