Finished my Conversion and Paint (Kouki PHG50 President)
Aloha everyone, just wanted to post up a few pics of the conversion and paint that was recently finished on my car. It's a 1994 Q45 with an OEM Kouki President Conversion (new parts inc HID) and Hot Hue's Purple Passion. If you want to see more I have a build thread you can check out in the Nissan Section.
I planned this build about a year ago, and it took a while for everything to come together. My original paint choice was Lamborghini Purple (high pearl color), but after seeing the Hot Hue's lineup from Dupont, I went with Purple Passion because it had more blue in the pearl (also a very high pearl paint, I think 70grams pearl for 3 quarts). Still a few more small touches to finish up (trunk trim and fog's) but for the most part the exterior is done. This is a daily driven car on coilovers btw. Just wanted to post this to maybe give inspiration to anyone thinking about going all out or doing a re-spray. Follow your heart and go for it!!

Thanks you guys! The color is Dupont Hot Hue's Purple Passion, and all bodywork and paint was done at TechOne Customs in Hawaii. Ryan and Scott are badass, and I'm really impressed with the work they did. Not only the paint, but also the fenderwork. Here's a pic of the drivers side rear fender in progress:
Most shops cut/weld but this was done hammer and dolly. In the end, it was flared out so much, even the rear doors are flared. I can fit some huge wheels back there now, the 19x11 +12's (with 15mm adapter making it -3) still seem kind of small for the rear (width and offset wise).
Stance and fitment is still in progress. One day I will go air and lay it on the ground. But for now, this is a daily driven car on coilovers so can only go so low (limited by the coilovers, not the fenders). Fenders have been modified to roll low, so when I do finally get air, will be able to drive around almost touching the ground....
The rear President emblem was shaved. My personal opinion, that emblem is way too big and looks gaudy, so I had it removed to clean up the rear. But I am missing two trunk trim pieces that go right next to the taillights, and plan to add those when I can find them. And yes the Fog's, so hard to find. All President Parts have been discontinued by Nissan, so it's really hard to find some items, especially in new condition. I'm looking for the glass HID fog's that match this front end, apparently kind of rare, and plan to do a projector conversion on them whenever I find them.
Interior is also a work in progress, but don't worry, no white, no purple, and no furry on the interior (ala pimp style hahaha). I know for some reason purple is automatically associated with pimps here in the US, but straight up, this build was inspired by VIP whips from Japan, not stuff here in the US. I wanted to build something you might actually find in Japan, except it's here in the US. White, silver, and black look great but it's been done before. I like colorful VIP rides that are different, take a chance, etc, so I went with something different. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Mahalo you guys! (Thanks). There are a few things I need to do before any new photos, but I will get some this month. In the meantime, there are more pics in my build thread. The car was re-assembled the morning of these pictures, in a rush to make a show. So the fitment is off, so are the alignment specs and coilover settings. Almost got everything in order, still workn on it. Scheduled a beach photo shoot near the end of the month. Probably will not be updating this thread, so if you like the build, stay tuned to my build thread. This thread is my attempt to inspire other members to follow their dreams in whatever build they are doing, no matter how wild it may seem or how long it takes to get there. Was not really meant to show the car, but more so the conversion and paint. I consider this art, the cars being canvas, and I want to see other members go all out! Don't build it for others, build it for yourself kind of thing. Glad some of you enjoy it! Appreciate all the comments!! Aloha

Thank you guys for the props! I know I said I probably wouldn't update this thread again, but got a picture of the car in direct sunlight. If anyone decides to do a color change, would highly recommend the Dupont Hot Hue's lineup. The changing hue's of the colors depending on the angle and lighting seem almost endless. The pictures I posted earlier were indoors with indoor lighting made it look more blue. Here is an outdoor picture showing the purple.

when they did the metal work on the rear fenders did they end up hammering the inner fender wells or were they cut out and re-made?

Took long time to reply because the car was on the boat to CA and I wanted to look again to make sure before answering. My terminology might be a little off because Im not a bodywork guy, but the inner fenderwell in the rear (which Im assuming is the part closest to the gas tank) is not modified. It cleared at full down with my setup 11 wide +11mm offset, 245/35/19 tire, JIC coils, and around -4.5 deg camber and was drivable with no rubbing or contact, even on the freeway. It might be a different story with air tho, or more neg camber, or wider wheel, have not actually checked with the suspension loaded to see how much clearence there is. The part above the tire (which I guess could also be called the inner fenderwell) was modified, looks like it was cut and redone. Can get you pics if you want. Car is back on stock suspension for the boat ride, so really easy to see

he is referring to the metal on the wheel side of the quarter panel. judging by the way the fender work was done i think they were probably just massaged .

I gotta check the map to see how far/close this is to me. You are wellcome to check it out. Car is 4x4 right now on stock suspension, looks kinda donkish. Gonna be reinstalling all the suspension in the garage here pretty soon, need to find a trustworthy alignment shop. Will try to make the next get together and say Aloha!

Thank you! Yes Im going all out on my President build. It's about 1/2 way there, up next is interior and version 2 suspension (cups), then kit and new wheels. Wish I could give it more time right now but Im giving all my time to a new business venture. When that works out I should be able to finish the build one pop, maybe even do a motor swap too (M56 VK56VD). We will see!!
What's the deal with your build? Dont you got a President too? And a JP kit? You got a build thread?
yeah i wouldnt mind seeing pics, i am unsure on how to do the rear work/ ive heard of people slide hammering it, cutting, hammering, rolling. but idk the specifics like if they cut the inner lip before starting, if they seperate the qtr panel skin from the inner wheel well and all that jazz
btw, why are you in cali?
ok, will get you some pics when I get back to Texas. The whole Cali thing is to raise funding (venture capital) for a new business I started, trying to make it big. Work in progress.
