Any problems with car theft on y33's/gs's ect???

Im getting ready to put up my s14 as its time for a four door with AC that I can show with. Due to garage space I wont beable to store the next toy inside. My s14 has a secure storage unit. Im hoping I dont have to do the same for a VIP styled car. Im looking to keep it simple (rims, drop) to avoid attention. So has anyone here experienced any car theft or break ins?

Just get a good alarm system viper etc. and wheel locks. If a theif really wants your car badly enough they will take it no matter what precautions you can take. Thats what insurance is for :). If you are planning to go air, just air it all the way down and theres no way theives can fit a jack underneath.

from my understanding they are jacking roof spoilers, fog lights, spoilers from the GS community now. whole cars will be soon.

Y33's have a chip in the key and the engine won't start unless the codes match. At least that's the theory. Of course they could steal it on a flat-bed....

Thefts are random, a good alarm can help. Roof spoilers get jacked because people use double side tape. Idk I feel like if some wants your car they will take it no matter how your fort knox it.I used to have lowjack on my cars. Just watch where you park and who you kick it with. Plus i'm sure if you call the cops and say your lexus or infiniti luxury car got stolen, they will respond and find you car faster, since its not some ricey car to them.

Mine is parked on the street w/ a stock alarm on the regular.
I have full coverage insurance that's pretty good so I'm never really worried.
If they want it, they will take it. Then I jus get something else

No problems so far though

Nice... yea full coverage insurance and a decent pager alarm which notifes me even if the alarm was just warning someone. Thats how I caught 2 sets of thieves looking at my civic back in the day. My alarm key was going off since they knocked on my car to test its sensitivity settings. Before they could get the hood popped I was alllready outside with guns aimed and getting cops there. Good day for me and the police, bad day for some illegal aliens...

With my Honda's I did every precaution I could think of ie: detachable steering wheel, hub lock, kill switches, fuel cut off, took out the ecu, tucked the alarm brain, had extra sirens under the fenders etc... And I never even left it parked overnight outside of my garage lol(sounds like a pain but its peace of mind to protect my eng, int, wheel investments). But w/ my Q45 I just park it in my apartment complex w/ factory alarm & full coverage, haven't lost any sleep...yet.
