Anyone ever use a wheel cleaner on their wheels?

Yea I know idiot move....
destroyed my set of 19" AME LX's.
Now for the repair anyone got any advice?
I live in So Cal so if there is any shops/mobile wheel repair referals that anyone has went through to help them repair the damage? That would be greatly appreciated.
From what I understand they are a 2 piece wheel design but the barrel is welded so its more of a 1 piece.?
The strong acid based wheel cleaner ate through the polish on the lips and stained them beyond recognition.
I know I could probably just repolish them but then I'll loose my shine and have to keep polishing them up.
Hopefully I am not the only one to make this idiotic mistake (live and learn) but honestly I am a clean freak and I just wanted to really bring out these wheels and didn't use my head so yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......

Thanks for the suggestions and I actually went to Ralph Wright for an extreme rebarreling on some wheels I had for my integra a couple years back.
But at the moment I kind of need and hopefully can find a mobile repair that understands this mess.
Since this is my daily driver and I'm riding static and don't have extra jacks/stands to have my car up while the wheels are being repaired for like a week it just seems easier and less hassle for me but I understand that this probably isn't going to be a couple hr fix job just weighing my options

I have used wheel cleaners on my Work's (I've had for like 4-5 years now) and never had a problem :shrug:  That sucks though, good luck.

I almost did once. Sprayed some on some wheels and didnt rinse completely. Peeled off a bit of the clear coat.  Glad they were just oem wheels now I make sure to clean it all off.

Lol those are some lucky statements right there....mine on the otherhand are all jacked. It's to the point where I don't even wanna post pics because every time I look at the damage I get upset all over again haha. :pat:

Search "son tran wheel repair" he's pretty well known. Everyone says he does amazing work but never had any work done from him myself.

If wheels have a clearcoat, I just use soap water and maybe I'll use the product WHEEL WAX which is pretty much safe on anything.

Thank you, I actually seen his work and referrals on other forums as well. I thought he could just only repair damage/curbed wheels but I hit just him up a while ago and sent him pics and I am awaiting his response. Hopefully he can work his magic on mine. But yea that's exactly what I am looking for! Thank you sir

Trust I won't make the same mistake. I park my q45 outside and it rained so my car was pretty dirty and on my first day off I tried to give it that photoshoot cleaning lol but it didn't work out that way and now I am just trying to fix my mistake. The lesson is learned haha
