Stupid Question/Opinion About My Lincoln LS
I am on the Lincoln LS boards daily. I had changed my sig to this.
Apparently, a member here is a member on the LS boards. He goes off a little rant over the "VIP Style" statement in my sig. How the bumper isn't VIP, the wheels, the stance, nor anything. Goes on into the huge post bashing me and my LS. Saying that just because I belong to a car forum doesn't make it VIPStyle. He lives the scene and the lifestyle. Blah, blah, blah.
My question to you guys is simple. Does the title "VIPStyle" really offend the VIP scene or yourself? Does my LS insult the scene?
I know I still have some major changes to make. Needs to be lower. Change the wheels. Two items I am addressing as I post this. I can say the members here have been helpful with there critisism and suggestions. Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

Since this is about me Ill chime in.
I never said you offended the scene, nor did I say you insulted any VIP members,I simple stated that if you look at what a VIP car is or even a VIP styled car is to me your car misses the mark...so why call it VIP styled and have a bunch of dim wits on the LS forum thinking that anything can be styled with lowering and rims.
Ive said over and over and will again, I spend most of my time on here looking, reading and thinking to make sure that when my car is put together it is don't properly to represent a certain style...not just slap some parts on and call it something. If its going to be something it has to posses the right parts to make it, yours doesn't.
Maybe its me being pickey because I'm trying to mod a kit together that more represents the style, or the custom fenders, or the custom made coil overs i'm working with a company to get made shit that isn't even on the market for the LS just to represent the styled scene in the proper way....
Either way I noted the same thing that its a dope car, however posting that its vip style makes me look at that and think the scene is different then what it is...the VIP styled LS has never been "properly" done..so labeling something its not gives the idea that that's proper way of doing it, in the end taking away from what the scene really is.
I'm no VIP seasoned vet and there a lot I need to learn and tend to, never did I say I live and breath the scene, but one thing i know is legitimacy of the cars and how they are built keeps a scene real, instead of a EBAY scene were everything is a VIP part because it the cool thing to do.

:smiley-rofl:aka JVIP on LVC. You have some nerve bro. You bash me for using the phrase "VIPStyle" in a sig. Yet, you actually use "VIP" as you username.:smiley-rofl: Who fck is fooling who here. You went off on this crazy rant on LVC over the use of "VIPStyle" in a signature. You talk about your plans and this, that, and the other. How I am misrepresenting the scene. Yet, you have shown nothing for the work you have done. Thats right. You haven't done any work to it. I may not have the lower stance(air-ride) or the right wheels(getting them). At least, I have something to show for it and a beginning. So I will say it again. Till you have something to show. Your nothing but a "poser". You talk chit. But can't back it up. Lets see your ride. Post pictures and give your bullShit story about the work you plan to do. See I say it and do it. You sit on the sidelines and talk chit.
If you had posted half of what you did here on LVC. You would have made since. Instead you came off like a d!ck.
If I claim to be Batman, does that matter to you? Hell no. If I use the phrase "VIPStyle" in a sig, that shouldn't matter to you either. You need to change your username to "Internet Patrol". Heres your catch phrase "If you post it, its true".

Let me guess.......Lower stance and wheels.
Air-ride will run $2500
Trying to find a nice set of 20" Jaguar Sentas.
Not trying to be a wise-ass. I see that a lot here. I have only been a member for a few months. I have read and scene a lot of help onfo here. My LS is just like any other ride. A work in progress. It will get there.

I wasn't being negative or trying to talk down your ride, was just saying it how it is. Your car currently in it's form has nothing "vip style". Anyways, your front bumper isn't flattering at all, reminds me of the late 1990/early 2000 body kits. And you just said your stance and wheels are a problem. I don't see any other mod, besides the grill and tint?
Also I did comment on the other dude in the thread that he was in the wrong for coming out of nowhere to bash your ride.

I like your car OP... imo all u need is some bad azz wheels & do some interior work if funds allowed to be "VIP styled" I mean, there's dudes claiming "VIP styled" on Mazda 6s with cloth interior, on manual tranny cars, on cars smaller than my trunk, trucks, u name it... so why not an american mid-sized sedan? ...or is it large sedan? Anyways, the only thng I'm not feeling is obviously the wheels (just cuz they're chrome actually) & the sideskirts... the front bumper is crazy nice. Gl...

I know. What you posted is what I get all the time. No harm no foul right? One of the suggestions I first got here was to get rid of the chrome. I painted the front and rear bumper chrome strips and the rear surround. So all the chrome is gone. As for the front bumper. Not much I can really do there. the front bumper support is curved also. Changing the front bumper look would be quite the under taking.

i would have left the chrome trimming to at least match the wheels. a lot of vip/vip style cars have the chrome trimmings. didn't see pics of it before with the chrome trim, but i'd imagine it can't look bad. Here is my car with the chrome trim, but guess it's too late now
as for bumpers, maybe you can look to retrofit some type of other body kit into your stock bumper. But of course, that's all your preference.
Also you don't need air to be vip, seems like in your previous comments that it does. A lot of cars are run on coilovers. I have cups, which is a combination of both. I drive on my coilovers with stiff spring rates and have the ability to air up to clear obstacles and go back down to drive in a low stance on coils.

NICE!!!!!!!! I like the color. If you look at my sig. You can see what the chrome trim on the bumpers use to look like. Had the same trim on the rear bumper.
Unfortunately, no one makes coilovers for the Lincoln LS. So air-ride would be my best option. I do have room in the trunk for the equipement.

To the OP:
I kinda get JDOX's point, although don't really know how he presented it on the LS board, but that really doesn't matter in the end. Truth is always true no matter if it's in a paper bag or a designer bag. So to simplify: I can't be a rabbit if I just decide to be one and write the word RABBIT in my forehead. I actually have to put the full costume on and start eating carrots and jumping across the place to REALLY be a rabbit-look-a-like. You get my drift? =)
Edit: Ohh and if you really want your car to be VIP-styled there really is no obstacles, if something isn't made to fit then you'll make it fit. You can always swap out your suspension components with other makes/models if you modify the original mounting points. Easy ehh? =)
You see young padawan, one of the most important aspects of VIP is its exclusivity and the difference to others, and the need to be unique. If someone else can easily copy you, then your doing it wrong =)
