Tire recommendation for 21" wheels...

Can I get a recommendation for tires on 21x10 fronts, 21x11 rears with a decent stretch.  Through my research I came up with 255/30/21 fronts, 265/30/21 rears using Continental Sport Contact 3s.  I need help in finding tires for such an odd size, 21" and I'm having no luck with options of sizes or brands.  Any help is much appreciated.

hankook makes a v12 evo in 245/35/21 285/30/21. falken makes their fk452 in 21's also, but i'm not as sure on the sizing

Yeah 21's are an oddball in tire buzz, so that's the reason for weak offerings. I did some research earlier in the spring for my wheels, and came to same conclusion as cheez. The Hankooks are the smallest ones offered in 21" starting from 245/30 upwards, the you got a couple more manufacturers like Toyo with 255/30 being the smallest. My advice to the OP would be to go an inch wider so you could at least have a little play with your tire selections. That is if you haven't already ordered/bought your wheels. With 21x11" fronts and 21x12"-13" rears you could get a a nice stretch with the 245/30 Hankooks and then you could choose your rear tire to your liking/price range. Keep in mind that these sizes are rare so it reflects in the price, for example around here at the local tire shop 21" Michelin tires would cost you around 800-1200$ each... so if you decide to go 21"ers remember that oni camber is a must =)

Yup, price on tires would be an issue.  Daily driven may be an issue also with tread wear, but that's the price you pay I guess (to play).  It's hard to match tires with a 255/30 and 265/30 without moving to a 245/35 size, for example, for fronts only.  Thanks for the input guys.  I'm still working on this so I hope I get more input.

245/35/21 .....255/35/21 should do it.....

IIRC nitto has a tonne of odd ball sizing like this including 21s.

Checked their site, it's as lousy as the rest of the few manufacturers who push out 21's.

And I can't see why anyone would want to use 35 series tires on their 21's, cuz them mutherfuckers are high enough anyway. Especially if you'd like your ride slammed... I know that there's "only" a 1/2 inch difference in sidewall height when comparing 245/30 vs. 245/35, but that can easily be the one little thing that fucks up your stance :shrug:

Addition: Bear in mind that you can't really get any stretch with 245 on a 10J, so less the sidewall the easier it is to make it fit under the car....

Agreed.  In the case of 21" wheels, 35's aren't an option if you want to ride low.  Then again there are little options, right.  But I'm still stuck with the Continental Sport Contact 3's, 255/30/21 and 265/30/21.  I want to consider 245/30/21 for fronts, but I can't find anyone making these, Hankook nor Michelin.  Juzzo's 255/30 on 21x10.5 looks pretty good.  I hope my 21x10 on 255/30 Continentals look just as good.

At least it's still in production, I think you just gotta ask around who sell 'em =)

Yea don't use their sites, call a tire distro like wheel pros.

the 245/35/21 285/30/21 stagger is an oem bmw 7-series size -- 21" wheels are meant for big bodied cars, meaning less selection for thinner sidewalls.
