possible platform

I came across a 90 lexus ls400 needs alil work here and there as far as body but it has 275k on motor and chasis. I know they run forever if kept up but should i make a lexus with 275k my project?

If it was a drift car. I think the best base to any great VIP plat form is the super clean example of what ever you want. I did not do this cause I was not going to VIP my car originally. Now I am and wish I sprung for a much cleaner and newer example. Cause it's a lot more to fix cosmetically too some times

I would avoid the first year production of cars whenever possible, generally speaking they come with "less" as far as options/performance, and sometimes have problems as it was the first run of those builds. The UCF10 was made from 90-94 with 92-94 being the preferred years, better brakes, etc. If you like that style, I would opt for a 92-94 LS400 (UCF10), or even a 95-97 LS400 (UCF20 before M/C) that shares a similar look (the gangster headlights). Other than that, 275k just seems like too many miles to me. Something is probably about to break. I would continue the search, and don't settle for less, in other words wait until you find the exact model you want with the exact color options you want exterior/interior, and a condition/mileage that is acceptable to you. You pay less in the long run. It's hard to do with older cars, but for something in the 90-94 range I think anything under 100K miles is probably a good find, tho it is also possible to find ultra low mile cars like my G50.

My 90 LS had every problem known to the car, buy a slightly newer one, you won't regret it.

are we talking 275k miles or 275Kilometers?Based on your location i think your talking about miles so that would average out to 13k miles a year which is a little below average. it all depends on maintenance. Do they have records? how does the car run when you drive it? any leaks? if your unsure, spend a little money and take it to a mechanic to check things out.

i went to go look at the car it didnt run that great and wasnt interested in putting more money into it just to bring it up to par. and was owned by a student driver...
