I need advice for Y33's

I'm pretty new with VSC. I had Lex Soarer before, but It broke down bcuz some problem. I decide to get the Y33 Q45 as my first VIP project. I went to alot of website to read the comment and reviews of ppl who own Y33. I totally stuck at nowhere when I dont know, should I get the Y33. I need anyone who are Y33 owner, or used to be owner, and whoever got rid off please give me the advice and comment about Y33 used.
 I saw two Y33 for sell right now. One has 154k, black in black ,second owner.
the other one is one owner, It has 1year warranty or 15.000miles. it has 197k, super clean in and out with original paint. it looks like a old ppl owned it. it has high miles bcuz the old guy often go out of town. which one do ya think I should get??

No nearly enough info to give you an input. Needs years and what not.... However they are pretty reliable vehicles.

Also if you could clean up your spelling and grammar..... that was difficult to read.

Car fax both and bring a trusted experienced machanic to look the cars over!

They are pretty reliable cars. Get carfaxes and have a tech look it over for any possible damage or needed maintenance.  Alternators, idler pulleys, tension rods are the most common things to go out. With high miles...the car will have some leaks...valve covers atleast. But overall they are nice cars...i just liked the y34 better ;)

I always go for the  low mileage cars...better resale value
and as stated they are pretty reliable regardless.

Make sure the blower motor works, common issue on them but not a huge deal.

Juss make sure expensive problems are addressed before you buy any of them. A little research can save yu sum dough. valve cover labor is one of them about $400-500 at a shop but if yur handy then its juss parts.  I'd get black on black one.

I know my spelling and gramma were not clear at all, bcuz I have been in US only 2YEARS  and English is my second language since I came in US

Don't even pay attention to comments about grammar. Most of us understand that not everyone is a native English speaker. And 1/2 of those who are, still suck at grammar.

Y33's are wonderful, extremely reliable cars. I had mine for 6 years, and it's still going strong with one of my friends who's just put more work into it w/ Megan c/o's and a new set of Ray's wheels. For the money, they're hard to beat, and still retain a classic sedan style that doesn't look dated. Beautiful cars IMO.

Plz dont take the one I want,

lol the lower the miles the better, only if it's history is clean. 

on another note, im doing valve cover gaskets on a 99 Q45 at work....like $900 if you go through the dealership lol

why would a valve cover gasket job cost so much?   unless you have to remove a ton of stuff...

agree... a headgasket I can see it costing that much.

Actually its like 6-700. But when the dealer labor rate is $125/hr....stuff gets expensive. And a headgasket job would be wayyy more than $900...ill look up labor time when i get to work. Lol

You do have to remove a ton of stuff.

alldata calls for 3 hours to do both valve cover gaskets.....its a lil more time consuming so i did it for 4.5.....x labor rate of shop ($125/hr). the headgaskets call for 16 hours....do the math. think its simple work now?

no i work for infiniti.....we use alldata for labor rates if we need to check lol

I've owned my Y33 for about 6 years, its been a great car.  I've had a few issues- ignition coils, turbine revolution sensor, and yes valve cover gaskets.

Everything is expensive on the car if you take it to the dealership, it is a pretty involved car to work on, so if you want cheap be prepared to work on it yourself- just don't break anything lol.

I'd buy another in a flash if I needed a car.  They are ridiculously cheap now

So you think should I get the Q45 or buy another car if I need car???

it all depends on the car. if the car has been serviced regularly you'll be golden. as long as it hasn't been ragged.

my buddy just picked up a 99 q45t for $3000. 2nd owner. regularly serviced.  170k miles, silver with black leather.

he's put spark plugs in it, valve cover gaskets. but other than that, the car is mint.

yeah, its all good if its in good shape and been well maintained...

I already bought the 97 Q45t with black in black. it has 154k miles. good condition. im kinda like it. but I saw the front suspension was kinda weird when the Springs were pretty close to the tires ..Can anyone show me your stock Q45 front suspension's picture???

0_0 99 q45t only $3k?? Man so freaking good deal. I cant find any good deal like that around Dallas.

there was a pretty clean 01 q45 in my area with 137k for $5500 a few months back.

if you want a car for just a car, choose something else, Honda, Toyota, Maxima, Sentra something else.

The Q is a good car, its just more expensive to maintain than a Camry/Corolla or Accord/Civic.

the spring/suspension set up is normal, if you switch to coilovers you'll get more clearance.

You guys will be real pissed when you find out I bought my 99 Q45 with just over 100k miles in mint shape, first owner. $3700 Canadian lol

Sweet! The original owner of the Q45 I picked up knocked off HALF his asking price just cause I was a veteran.=)

beware of coil packs, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, knock sensors and harness, build up in intake manifold,tb, maf sensor issues, i'd change out the fuel filter. Also you wanna double check your radiator make sure it isn't leaking if its the oem rad. clutch fan blade, and high pressure power steering hose. I'm dealing with all these issues as we speak and it isn't fun playing musical coil packs. dropping $65.00 x 8 coil packs isn't the business at all. Oh and also double check if your hood shocks are leaking if so address asap because it will leak onto the abs,tcs,slip relay and will cause the lights to come on.

OH yeah also DO NOT RUN NOTHING BUT OEM PLUGS FOR YOUR Q. NGK LASER PLATINUM! AND OEM AIR FILTER, aftermarket off brand filters tend to have oils in them which get sucked into your engine.
