Long tube headers

Mods let me know if I'm out of line here, but:

I'm looking for members in or around Seattle that would be able to get their car test-fitted for long tube headers. I've been working with a guy over on the iS that is having some made for his FX45 and they should be adaptable to pretty much all VK45-powered cars (Y34, F50, Y50) but we need measurements to make sure. Please let me know if you're intersted.

This by no means a for sale post. I am not a vendor nor am I promoting this product. Just trying to get some performance parts made for our platform(s).

I'm going to post it a few more places.

They won't be cheap (rough figures place the build kits ~$2000 and up depending on coatings and the like) , but the quality is top notch and the gains should be awesome ESPECIALLY if any of you are thinking of going with cams, intakes, etc. I'm planning on pairing them with JWT S2s.

I also want to clarify-the car would need to be in Seattle for test fitting. We're trying to get the product available to anyone anywhere who's interested. Even if we can't get a test car, the headers will be made, but there may be some slight modifications needed to get them to fit properly on our platforms.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

Full mandrel bends.

I'm also trying to see how many people would be interested in spacers. They would be cheaper than the headers (ones for the VQ ran ~$250.00) and would give some nice gains as well.

2k for headers is gonna be a tough sell....period. SGmotorsports sold their custom LTHs for the 350z/g35 for like 1500 and they were the best of the best, but only the few guys with bookoo moneys got a set. but good luck and i cant wait to see some in production!

after gettin a similar quote, I planned on picking up some Titan headers and slicing off the head flanges since they have oval openings, and having some new flanges with round holes welded on to match the VK45 head. have you considered going that route? It seems easier and more cost effective. However, I am in Seattle, my plates pretty full at the moment, but pm me the details about the shop.

Edit: Also, I thought Fluid Motor Union already had the jigs to make these? I got a quote from them after seeing the set they made for Marilyn's M45.

I have thought about the Titan headers, but they're mostly shorties and the longtubes cost almost as much as what we're looking at here. What kind of price quotes have you been getting on redoing the Titan headers? I'll get you the details about the shop. I looked at Fluid Motorunion and couldn't really find much.

the_coupe: we're looking at ways to make them more budget-friendly, but the figure I gave is for what're looking at right now.

I haven't gotten a quote to redo the Titan headers yet, but shoot me the info on the shop and I will try to get out there.
