I can appreciate the work that's going into it but it's a Camry.  Its like "putting a Silvia front on a Civic."

Looks like hes the one to start "Freedom vip" lol, should of just asked to start Liberty Thailand.

I peeped it this morning too.  They are definitely putting in work in that country.  As a whole, they don't have an eye for the very minor details like Japan does but they are the closest thing to modern VIP style outside of Japan and they do it with unconventional cars.  Props should be given for that alone.  Can't wait to see this completed

Are headlight/taillight conversions of the 90s going to make a comeback?  I think Supra taillights on a CRX was one of the first I saw back in 96-97.

It's crazy how much they had to extend that front bumper.

Yea, but give us them same labor cost to get jobs like that done and I'm sure we'd be cranking out shit like that all day long. Remember they can do a whole lambo kit to any car for cheap!!!! I think it was like around 30-50K at the most.
 
And how can you say better than Japan when they were the ones doing it first and we all including Thailand are the ones copying their swag?!

i'd actually agree that thailand does as good if not better conversions than japan. on average they look way more natural than the japanese. as far as styling it's a push, japan is over the top modern ricey right now and thailiand is super super lux crazy lighting and bling bling. i'm not a fan of either tbh. but these guys doing full customs on civics and camrys in these poor asian countries is nothing like someone doing it over here, or anywhere else where true luxury cars are readily/realistically available, they are doing it out of necessity.

the difference between here and there with camry and civics. is they look like they came from japan and ours look like bs.

true, the work condition and labor rates are completely different over there...saw some pics of dudes wearing slippas while working...something i would do haha...

thailand and japan styling are a little different...i prefer thailand's cleaner look over modern japanese builds but both show great craftmanship...

no doubt both countries go all in...we can learn something from them...our crazy attempts to build something different or over the top is a drop in the bucket for them...

I would love to attempt something like that but don't know too many people that will drop $15K + on a camry conversion...

the extension of the front bumper isn't all that hard since fiberglass is easier to work with...the metal work is beast...a lot of grinding and welding, hammer and dolly'ing...hats off to those cats

You know how many garbage LS400/430/460 conversions I've seen come out of Japan. I think I've seen 2 that looked reasonable.
Please show me the same type of quality VIP builds done to very very non-traditional platforms out of Japan.

using bondo is part of the game...everything will need at least a skim coat or two...i'm opposite...i see a lot of metal and welding...i'm sure quality is top notch...but like you said, pictures don't always tell the whole story...

all said and done, it looks dope but i'm not sure i like the after any better than the before. just not a fan of cross chassis conversions i guess. it's executed so well that it just looks like a fake crown. props for skill and vision, meh for actual value.

I have always been a fan of Thailand and have frequented their forums for the last few years as well.  Their current style is dope.  I like it better than the current Japan style.  Personally I like a little of the flavor from both sides, but still prefer to do my own thing.

Anyone in here who says they wouldn't rock that ish needs to go buy a Prius or Smart Car and quite lying!!!  Camry or not, who gives a frac when it looks as sick as that?  Kidding yourself..
