Modded 4 door as daily drivers?

So guys, got a question for you.. Some of you guys with mild build ups, coilovers/bags and rims. Do you guys daily drive? i.e. go to malls, movie theaters etc.

Im just curious how much worry you guys have in theft. I always had modded 240sx or rx7 and really those are some pretty big issues I worry about with daily driving them. That issue I dont think id ever own a typical honda due to how popular they are with theft. 

I still got an rx7 as my toy, and currently have a 99 blazer that I am looking at selling for either a 80s 4x4 4runner or a sedan platform.

I have an 06 sedan with a drop on springs, 20's, visors, and some other basic mods and is still used as a daily!

My LS is bagged, 20's, visors, other stuff.  No problems here and I drive daily.  Im more worried about haters messing with my car then theft to be honest.

No matter how much I have into my cars, I will never not drive/enjoy them as much as I can.
I can't control if someone is going to steal it and I sure as hell won't let them influence how/where I enjoy my car.
If they want it bad enough they'll follow you home move 2 cars off your driveway, open the garage door, beat your "anti-theft" system and take your car. Its that simple.
Don't worry about it. Enjoy the whip. At the end of the day it's just a car.

I no longer daily drive but Ive taken my cars to theaters, clubs, pretty much anywhere minus malls.   I just wouldnt take it to a mall but other than that I left my car at places I probably shouldnt have before and nothing's happened.  Prior to painting it it was my only car so I had to take it everywhere. Never got broken in to but got some damage from careless people parking next to me.

Daily driver, only car. I've been driving my car any and everywhere for the past 5-6 years and I've taken it pretty much EVERYwhere. I even park it on the street at the GF house on a regular w/ little worries. Also, in the lot at my pad where I park, cars are always getting stolen or broken into. Bottom line though, no matter what, if someone wants it bad enough, they'll get it. I think our cars are less likely to get tampered with than some of the more rice/easier to still cars.
If I'm worried about the car though, I just lock everything up and slam the car all the way down(bags), they can figure out how to raise it. Also the alarm and exhaust is too loud for anyone not to hear it.
 
 
I do try to not drive it as much though but that's only to prevent hassels from the boys in blue and various road conditions

I had my fuel cut-off switch in between the seats.

i drove my car everywhere and anywhere, and out of all places i thought nothing would happen to my car i got my rims jacked in front of my driveway! haha

ive never had any problems..but i have a wagon..most find them to be ugly

mine LS is lowered with 19's and is dailyed (dailied?). my main concern is careless people parking next to me and dinging the sides. i make sure to park in well light areas.

my car has been everywhere it shouldnt have been, nothing has ever happened (thankfully). 

malls, movies, clubs, bars, random streets, fire hydrants etc etc. i used to worry a lot, but in recent years, ive just quit caring and know that i have insurance so i dont need to make a big deal about anything. i'll get new wheels and suspension if they take it, if i lose a car, i'll get another. not a big deal.

I daily the shit out of my ody, am always worried, but knock on wood, no problems so far.. It gets way too much attention cause its a van.. Little old ladies, big ass muscle men... high school girls.... First it's WTF!!?? Then, Are those drapes in your car young man (I'm 38)? Then, I'd drive it..  I try to park where everyone can see it.. not right next to someone where a crook can duck down and not be seen... that's about it....

i once was into Rx7s .i actually had 3 of them at one point.one i crashed ina house doing 100mph.walked away with out a scratch thank god.the other one was stolen at a mall at 100pm in the afternoon.my 3rd one i sold to get into vip for y33 which u see in my sig.my last rx7 boosted at 14lbs and was just pure beasttt.happly i sold it before i could crash it or get it stolen.any houw back to the stolen one from the mall.i was in the mall for 30mins tops.came out to get car and thought i parked on wrong level and then i found were my spot was and it was gone....had alarm and forgot to put auto lock on clutch and brake."since i was fighting with my ex the whole way to the mall made me forget"also had 2 month old paint job,2 week old coilovers,2 week old rims and tires.it broke my heart.sucks so bad i wanted to stick my foot up the malls securitys ass.point is,if a theif want your car hes going to get it no matter what exspecially in new york.3 days after it was stolen i bought my last rx7  which had new engine from atkins rotary boosting 14lbs with all the hop up i had in the one that some scumbag stole....forget an alarm,buy two autolock one for brake and one for clutch.and a thick chain from steering wheel to gas pedals.then u can sleep at night

Get a sport steering wheel with a disconect and take your steering wheel with you. Not many thiefs will be walking around with a steering wheel just in case.

So you think. People jack cars without steering wheels.  I still find it stupid that people bring in steering wheels to mc donalds and stuff.

I DD my slammed GS.  School, mall, street, parking lots, parks.  Its my only car so, but  far places or places I dont know the street very well. I just take my girlfriends car, well she offers most of the time so.

I wouldn't take my steering wheel with me if I can see the car the whole time I'm away from it. I don't have a sport wheel right now, had one on a 240sx a few years ago. It had a locking hub. And I always had a book bag that I tossed the steering wheel into. I did that cuz my car was black with no AC in FL, so I always left my windows down. 

But realisticaly, if someone wants your car bad enough they will go through any means to get it. Because of that I don't worry about it. I just don't like parking close to people and some times double park to help avoid someone hitting my car with a door or whatever.

I daily my steez all over the STL..I do a lot of driving with my job so it gets plenty of action on the regular.  I drove over 300 miles just this weekend alone.

I also daily my car everywhere all over NY.  I almost always park in the street since it's a bitch getting in my driveway. I live in a shitty area too.. it's all college kids or low income.  The funny thing is my friends shit box cars have been broken into a few times and my car will always be sitting there left completely untouched.. Knock on wood.  We all think it's because my car looks like it would put up much more of a fight in getting broken into ie alarm etc.  It's crazy considering the stares I get and the amount of thug and hood looking ppl tell me my shit's the hottest car on the block.:dance:

every modded car I've owned, I have either parked it valet or the street including daily use, I have gotten less dings from parking on the street then valet.....

Only car I own... I drive my client around in mine even.  That's why my car is nicer inside than it is outside though. haha

i used to daily the Q, slammed (well, not so much compared to some of the guys on this forum now LOL), rimmed up, etc. ain't no thang.

can't take it to work anymore because the new parking garage has ridiculous entry angles and this shit speed bump at the exit, so i drive the LS daily.

My daily isn't as wild as these but I drive it and my heavily modded I would drive everyday but it's getting a repaint.

nice to see lots of us are using them everyday. agree with everyone else if your on bags, just air it out and lock up. iv got a very good alarm system so that with airing the car out not to concerned with ppl taking. but I do park far as I can or first spot closest, just to keep the scratches away lol

i plan on DD'n my ride. In the past I've only had issues with idiots dinging up my doors and fenders with their carelessness.  A few friends of mine went to a spy shop and puchased these mini clocks that are supposed to be used for desks.  they are motion activated so when anyone triggers them on it records.  Caught a couple of hs punks keying one of my friends IS300.

this is my only car to drive while in ATL.....i do have a pathfinder, hardbody and cbr900rr back home in SC.
