q45 y33 test pipe idea.

So, i have a friend from work who is a awesome fabricator. The q45s are cool but the cats are too big for the lower riding ones.  i was going to pull the cats off, cut the flange, and run 2.5' elbows with defoulers(so it wont throw codes). Then just add on my previous exhaust.  My question to you guys is, would you want to see q45 spec cat deletes?  Im going to get them fabricated in the next month and was wondering if there would be intrest into us making a few extra?


So this is my reason of needing them. imagine about 1' more of clearance extra and thats what this will accomplish.

Ill post pics and vids, it will be loud, very loud. im only going to run 2 glasspacks but with a muffler and resonators it should be good.

Not at all the case.

The 1UZ motor gets pretty raspy when it has TPs on.

does your car have the 1uz? lol

i actually want my car a [SIZE="1"]smidge[/SIZE] louder so i might be considering removing the magnaflow dual in/out muffler at the end and finding some nice tips....perhaps the megaphone style tips.

No... my LS400 did lol and it was loud as fuck.


I want to straight pipe it but if I SP it then run TPs it's going to be way louder than I want. I drive this thing on the highway way to often to put up with a droning exhaust like my battle scared G exhaust.

you can always run a resonator or 2 inline if you want to tone it down some.  lol
