New to the VIP culture from TX

Sup guys I'm new but quite fond of the VIP styling & wanna turn my 2010 accord to the styling so I'm willing to learn what it takes to transform a bone stock vehicle to a nice reputable ride any tips & tricks are greatly appreciated...no pics due to being on my phone & have no clue how to post pics!

Welcome! My advice, do suspension first. That way you can properly determine wheel fitment at the height you want. You do the wheels first, then do suspension, and the wheel fitment might not be what you want. And then you gotta do wheels again (or run spacers/adapters). Good luck and enjoy your build!

It might be tough because you are using a platform that not many people here use, so it's hard to find examples to work off of. On the flipside, people that are modding your platform might not necessarily be going for the same style, meaning the fitment they go for might not be what you want. The good news is, regardless of style, wheel width, offset, and fender specs will always remain constant, meaning that a wheel setup in a different diameter or style wheel can still give you a good idea of how the wheel will sit for your build. Here are some ideas:

Thailand VIP Style forums. These guys are posting lots of sick setups from similar platforms being built in Thailand. Maybe you could track some of them down online via a forum like this one (but for thailand) and try to get the specs of the wheels you are looking at in these pictures. But just remember to ask what else was changed, because alignment (camber) or fender changes can allow more aggressive fitment than your build could take with stock equipment.

Suspension and math. Do the suspension on your car and get it down to the ride height you want. This will allow you to determine how the alignment specs (like camber) change, which is important when determining fitment. Then either use your stock wheels, or a friends, or barrowed wheels and figgure out the specs, width and offset, and measure your fitment. Something I read on here, tie a string around a washer and then tape the other end of the string to the fender. Then measure from the lip of the wheel to the string to see how much further out the wheel needs to come to be flush (subtracting a few mm to account for the fender itself). Then use math formulas you can find online to convert the specs of the wheel you used to the widths of wheels you want to use (which will change the offset specs), and compare to the string measurement to determine the offset you will need at those widths to get the fitment you want. Hard to explain, but the math does not lie, and the formulas are out there.

Do it baller status, buy ridiculous spec wheels, slam the car, and then have a bodyshop build your fenders around the wheels, modifying and respraying the fenders (this is what some of those pictures above did, look at the fenders closely)

each of those cars pictured have extensive fender mods.  do you have suspension on the car already?

I've noticed the fender work on those cars in this thread & its outrageous but awesome something im not willing  to do just yet something more subtle just fender roll & debating on air or coilovers!
Bahc - I'm currently running H&R springs simple drop just want some wheels to start the build & like your build thumbs up on your TL learned quite a bit on your thread!

thanks bro.  it looks like to start you just wanna get the fitment down..so the first thing to do is figure out what suspension you wanna go with and pull the trigger..from there you can measure for offsets.
