.....OG....making some changes

One of the OG's is here in the shop getting a facelift.

Been Customer wanted to get rid of those ugly square fogs and mold in some Ced/Glo fogs and mold a J-Spec lip with some side vents. Working with plastic and bonding multiple materials was a pain, but we're finally making progress.....

Old bumper with the roughed in lip.....

Cut the factory fogs out and started to figure out how the lip would be positioned......

Molded the front lip in.....

Molded the foglight openings into the bumper......

Cut the vents into the lip....

Molded the vents into the side and shaved the markers....

Now we have to finish modding the sides and then paint. With the new shop opening soon, we've been delayed finishing this up, but we had to experiment with different materials.

Thanks to Mark for allowing us to use his car as a experimental car !!!!

He has a new project that we're working on that will surely be beyond anything we've done so far. He's always challenging us, but that's what we love to do !!!!

Didn't want to dump a bunch of money into this car since I rarely use it, so I just had the front and sides modified, changed the wheels, installed Max coils, upgraded the brakes, and called it a day.

Gotta' save my funds for the winter project !!!!

Since I don't want to spend a lot on this re-build, I'm going with a 300ZX Turbo front swap.

Working with the factory bumper material, the J-spec fog material (a little diff), the plastic we used to fill in the major gaps, and fiberglass. The goal was to make the bumper look like one piece and came like that from the factory. We kept all the lines and contours, and defined a few more lines where the lip was molded.

We need to install the coils, brakes, and new wheels before we mount up the front bumper and sides.

Yes...that's my bumper/car....=)

Joe does all my body work...he's awesome with custom stuff !!! I'll run some Brembo rotors with the stock 300 calipers. There's a kit that will allow you to use the EVO Brembos on the M45.

Nothing outta the ordinary really...but finding a solution to bonding plastic & fiberglass together was trying and it still had to hold up to harsh road conditions without it cracking(being that its a front bumper spoiler).

During the build I did perform some of my own stress tests :giggity:

I'll have check with my buddy. Their bracket is supposed to allow you to run the EVO brakes on a 300ZX.

The car won't be done for another week because we're moving into the new shop next week.
