Mechanical Breakdown Insurance for the f50 is it worth it ?

It's turns out the car had the elite infiniti warranty for 5 yr or 60 k lol.....

Might be worth looking into . Make sure u read the details such as if the warranty covers mechanical, electrical or rips and tears of the interior. My guess is if they do it could be voided if the vehicle is modified....

Excludes normal wear and tear items, such as brakes, shocks, etc.

check with your repair shop of choice as many shops dont accept 3rd party warranties. Shops/ dealers will make you pay up front then have you submit for re-imbursement. Its a big mess. The shops/ dealers are not obligated to take your warranty.

All depends on the fine print. When I had an F50, I got an extended warranty from the Dealer. I had to pull teeth to get them to honor it. They tried to fight me every time. It was a huge pain in the ass. But in the long run, they ended up fixing lots of stuff that I didnt have to pay for, factory defects relating to paint/rust, gastank was changed, diff was changed, motor/trans problems, even electrical stuff. I think my old F50 was a lemon though, have not heard of anyone else having that many problems before. I owned it from 45k miles to 70k miles over a 2 year period. It was in the shop over 15 times, making it feel like I was driving the loaner G35/37 more than my F50. The fine print regarding modding the car and voiding the warranty was extremely vague, and they would never directly answer my questions about modding and voiding the warranty. At the rate it was breaking, I just left it stock.

Hopefully you have a better experience. Hey why dont you just make a thread for yourself and update it instead of making a new one every time you got a question. Just a thought.

Not necessarily.   Usually ones through credit unions are actually pretty good.  If you buy one off a radio commercial or any company that says they cover cars up to 250k miles you get what you deserve. 

Read what the coverage is exactly.  If it's an exclusionary contract it will list everything that isn't covered.  If not, it will list exactly what components are covered.  

They are different levels of coverage as well.  Most companies will have bronze, silver, gold,  gold plus/platinum. 

Just find exactly what it covers.  $855 is quite inexpensive for a warranty.  I'd say if it covers window regulators, door lock actuators, gaskets etc... go for it.

nah, mine was the same way if you pull up the history.. especially the driver seat failed like 3 times, and is still broken
