so im guessing just get the s14>z32 conversion brake lines will figure the line part, but not sure about the rotors. i read one on site that the y33 rotors were bigger than the z32 tt rotors so they just got new oem rotors. guess i need to spec the y34 rotors. hmm

You probably read that on here on my old thread. Y33 rotors are larger than z32 ones and you don't need any brackets unless you get larger, like 350z track model rotors.

Should bolt right up for the most part. Z32 brake hoses work on Y33, assume the same on Y34/F50.

Do the Z33 rears bolt up to the Y34 rears? I have a Z33 rear knuckle and the caliper bolt spacing is different than the F50 caliper bolt spacing. The parts manual say that he F50 and Y34 use the same front and rear calipers.

Doesn't the Y34 use the larger bolts and caliper mounts like the 350Z/G35/G37/370Z? IF so then the Z calipers do not just fit on. My wifes car was supposed to be the smaller size according to every Maxima/I35 website but after we started the process it turns out her car had the larger holes as well. We ended up doing JDM S14=Z32 30mm calipers with 13" Mustang Cobra Rotors and the mounting brackets still but we had to widen the hole on the mounting bracket. If I had to do over again I would have just bought the new Akebono Calipers off the G37 and slapped them on with the OEM rotors....

Just try it . Eyedea who never posts anymore did the old z32 ones and they fit. The reason I didn't keep my r/z32 bits from my y33 is because those calipers look outdated compared to the modern look of the y34 but he put them on and told me its exactly the same as y33.

I have something in the works you guys will have to wait a few months to see. Coming soon to a theatre near you.....

I was reading on another forum that the G35 front brembo bolt up but the rears he had to redrill the knuckle and relocate the mounting ear. So in your case the rear bolts up?

as far as i know the front and rear g35/350z brembos bolt right up front and rear. just some backing plate trimming and coversion brake lines. i'm picking up a pair of g37s akebono calipers :) that require adapter brackets, and the rears will bolt up as well. might as well go bigger, ehhh yudi!?

i believe only the 03-06 track 350z had the brembos, and only the 03-04 g35 sport had brembos. i had hawk hps pads on my g35 and they were noisy as hell, changed them out with stoptech and never heard a squeak. no experience with ebc pads tho.

You mostly need the 350z caliper bracket:
http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=3411&Car_Type=350Z&UID=2012041306500371.196.122.14

I found a local shop that makes brake lines and you just really need a male fitting to the caliper and a female fitting to car. It will eliminate all the hard piping or you can do it like above and keep the hard piping and just add adapters.

So lemme get this straight so its clear.

If your gonna run akebonos (g37/370z) you need 350z adapters upfront and the rears bolts right up. How about rotors that come with this?

If your gonna run OEM brembos from a g35/350z front bolts right up and rears also
Rotors also?

So if i wanna run say a rotora, stoptech, etc.. from a 350z/g35 it will bolt right up also?
And use the rotors it comes with it??

All those listed needs different brake lines to work

you need the akebono calipers AND rotors, conversion brake lines, pads and hardware of course, and the brackets for the front. now you can use the g35/350z conversion brackets but washers are needed to make them fit properly on the y33/y34 fronts......soooo you need a source or machinist that can make some brackets that are direct fit.

i've put this mod on the backburner for now....tryna get my looks in order :) the front bbk will happen in the next month or so. i already have both front calipers, pads, hardware, getting rotors in a week or so....all i need are the lines ($70) and the custom brackets.

this is how big they are compared to a size 10 nike lol

as far as the washers go, most kits you buy brand new will come with aluminum spacers such as the CZP kit.

Lol kp , a couple metric washers as shims to center the caliper isn't rocket science. Been running these akebonos for over a year daily without any probs. These brakes perform great . I would recommend akebonos any day. Btw newer m45's 05' y50 don't require adapter brackets akebonos will bolt right up to the newer model

Yea those 350z g35 after market brakes are direct bolt on for y34. 370z g37s akebonos only need adapter 350z brackets because the caliper mount holes are spaced farther apart on the newer cars

no problem. just hasnt been confirmed 100% that they will bolt on to the rears. yudi has them on his whip, but had adapters made front and rear.

you can open the holes but i dont think its safe because of the amount that is needed for it to fit 18 mm difference ..which leaved you 2 mm for ring space ..too small area for such heavy car

idk, on the forums i normally see people selling the complete f&r kit (calipers, rotors, pads, hardware n sometimes lines) for 1200-1500. so i'd imagine you might be able to score a pair of calipers for 300-500 depending on condition.

MY version of the akebono bbk on a y34!! i bought the g35/350z adapter brackets from ebay for $125! time to get started!!

when i first got the calipers a few months back, quick comparison to a size 10 nike lol
Forum image

Forum image
i bought m14x1.50x50 socket cap bolts (allen) to secure the brackets using 3 machine washers for the top and bottom to space it out enough. didnt use a washer on the top bolt as you can see due to how close the caliper comes to the bolt.

Forum image
the passenger side bracket needed a lil edge on the inside smoothed out cuz it was touching the mounting tabs so the holes wouldnt line up

Forum image
instead of grinding on the bolt head for clearance, i used the allen bolts since they have smaller heads obviously. but you still need more clearance, so i took my aluminum porting bit to the caliper and notched it so the bolt head cleared perfectly!

Forum image
then i used 70mm long hex bolts (8.8) to bolt the calipers up

Forum image
perfect spacing

Forum image
and vwallaaaaaaaa

i already had the brake conversion lines since i had the brembos on, but i used the 240sx>z32 conversion lines. bleed and burnish and you're done! now i need to do the rears!

If people dont want to use G brembos, you can use Sentra ones. If and assuming 240sx stuff fits on q45 spindle. Sentra ones are cheaper.

Really sorry for bumping an old thread. I was planning on doing the direct Brembo swap, but figured go big or go home with the Akebonos. My question is, would an adapter made for Z32s using Akebonos fit the Y34? If the Z32 calipers fit the Y34, is it safe to assume that a bracket made for Z32 will work or have the same spacing on the Y34?

Also, I have a question for you Kingpin but your inbox is full. You mentioned that you have direct fit (no washers necessary) Akebono adapters/brackets. Do you still sell them or know of a source?
