'92 UCF11 build
Might aswell get a build thread started.
This is my 1st build that follows a luxury theme. All my previous builds have been about power('91 jzz30 soarer-T78 33D 432whp, ef9 crx SiR, , '90 jza70 supra)
this is what i am starting with.
ya ya, i know, too high, thats how high i drive it.
this is how she sits full-drop.
my first "mod" was the JP fusa(white) and a the knot(gold) need to get hooks for the knot, and hang it. The nthe stereo will be coming out(read: craptacularge 8"sub enclosure) with the amp being moved to the front trunk wall, run the lines behind the carpet for a cleaner look, and get rid of the bassworks 8" and replace it with a clarion 12" i got for winning a contest at a local stereo shop.
I will take some before and after shots of the install.
After that is taken care of, i have sourced out a Firestone air compressor system from a local big-rig repair shop for 600$(tank, lines, fittings, HD compressor, switch/gauge panel) to replace the ghetto 2-switch setup that the car came with from japan)
And hopefully, if all goes to plan(which i doubt) i will be picking up these next month from a local importer.
They are 18x8, +37 F, +31 R, I'm not too concerned about having super-gangster-hellaflush fitment at this moment, since htis car will be used quite regularly to haul my wife and our 2 kids around when we don't want to kill dinosaurs with our '08 f350 gasser.
expect more pics and more changes to come(once more military paychecks come :) )

i'm not a "big" fan of camber, it cambers out enough when she is at full drop, and the wheels i am looking at can be "re-widened" buy a local shop, so i'll winter=thrash the wheels that are on it for now, and re-shoe it for summer.

That's just upgraded management. You're still riding on stock air struts. Which are junk

mine are still in really good condition, so they will do for the time being. If i notice the onset of failure i'll replace the sleeves(military discount from Firestone :) ) and have the bases welded to the new stuts when i get them.

The other thing about stock air from a ucf11 is it doesn't go low. And you have to ride at full up, what's the fun in that.

well i dont ride at full up, cause full up in this car i can fit both my fists inbetween the tire and fender, and full low in the front puts my oilpan approx 3 cm of the ground.

headlights are done getting 3M'd a medium dark, and the tails are in progress atm, will have pics in the morning.
with the HID's and LED's up front you can barely tell the lights have been done.

well, seems like any mods have been put on hold
reason.
got back from the local pick'n pull after finding an ls400 with BRAND NEW UCA'S, swap the new one in, go to put the car down and it rests on the jack cause i completely aired out the left strut. Oh well, start to air it up, and it doesn't go up even. I say to myself "SELF, maybe you have to "bleed" off some air from the right side to get'r even" not quite.
Go to back up, nothing, seems like the brake are locked on, try forwards, still nothing. I get out and my left wheel is turned and my right is straight. I go underneath and that's what is staring me in the face. mother fuck. Thankfully it didn't let go as i was goin to/comin back from the j-yard or the carnage would've been MUCH worse.
So, while i got the front suspension apart tomorrow i'm gonna swap the left struts to the right and see if that solves my "lean" issue(car leans to the right, could be because of my fat-180ish-lb ass, which i doubt) since my as165x won't correct for side to side lean( i got 2 switches on the dash for front/rear ride height manual adjust).
Will post more pics tomorrow of the removal/install to show more of the upfront carnage. and god damn are UCA's expensive!!! for 1 i was gonna pay 400+ for am OEM unit, for a LCA they are 40-50$ EVERYWHERE!!!!!, friggin "fuckyoucanada" pricing ;)

Busted ball joint? Why are you pricing LCAs? What you need is a new LBJ.

took some quick pics last night with the new wheels on. Once my buddy gets the detail done i'll get some newer ones plus some daytime roller shots.
