Custom vert roofs

after seeing this on ebay, which I think is a little pricey?

As many of you know I am wanting a solid roof cause I wanted to do a maybach style skylight. Cause the double sunroof thing is to much to have a real glass roof and some fake funk skylight (which is why i dumped the idea all together)

So, by using a solid roof, i was going to get the back half copied in acrylic and have it set in like a real pano roof. Then, I thought.. what about a full on landaulet

Since the drip rails would be perfect to run the tracks of the roof to slide, the window being off set of that would pose trouble and have to have a custom back glass made or found. Sadly the gas tank is in the way cause it be tight for it to be motorized.. but i do not think there would be enough room for that?

Then I was thinking maybe a nice rag top? or a secure snap on push on style that most boats use for canvas tops.

Input please and or things you have seen and ideas. Searching now and its been an hour and no real luck.

Wonder how easy it is to find a wrecked Maybach Landaulet?

I don't like the rag even on the Maybach, but I'd love to do a hardtop SC.

not easy at all

they only made three, possibly 4. There was a black one? with white interior and can be seen with Kanyayer in it. Birdman owns the only white on white one. But i thought the black one had black interior as well like the first pic. and there is one gray one too.

The more I look into it the more I think I want to do a carbon plug mold of it, so i can have it latch in like a regular hard top. A buddy of mine does mini truck stuff and did a fabulous job doing a few similar ones.

I guess I am just getting bored with the movement already and want to doing something crazy. Even though, my car is far from crazy and hardly any where on point as majority of the cars here are. I guess nowadays I am looking for something that will stand out rather than blend in with the others. 

I will keep you posted, but please more ideas!

^^Not a fan of the clear top... For me it would have to be Maybach Laudaulet style. With nothing past the B pillars it looks off.. :shrug:

yeah for sure. I just put it up cause it was crazy lol If it was warm around here, all there would be is A pillars

The Aristo that is a full on vert is dope. I am looking for more pics of it.

Fuck as soon  I get my beast on the road Imma get another 1st gen shell and do a center line and a top chop w/ a panorama roof on it with tubular front&rear portion, and a roll cage w/ LSx w/ bi-turbo =)

The fab work in that video was insane, Buuuuut for me convertible tops are best left on coupes.
