Air bag suspension

new to air bag suspension i'm getting a 2000 gs 300 in a few weeks and thinking of putting air bag suspension and want to know if the rims are going to tuck in or do i have to do some mods in order for them to tuck in...

what wheels in what specs and what air suspension are u looking at? all helpful info here.

yup.like the other guy said..camber..and depends on the wheels size and offset if u have to pull the fender or so

You can tuck :) I tuck because I rock weak offsets lol

well i would like to put 22" wheels if possible don't know what kinda style yet...what kinda air suspension would you recommend...i was looking at the universal air bag suspension but like i said i'm new to air suspensions

Can 22s even sit at stock ride height on a GS... 20s fill up a LS.

i seen pics of gs stock sittin on 22"s but don't know how would it work with air bag suspensions

22's eyh..? Dunno if it is plausible, 21" fronts and 22" rears maybe, but the bodywork will ruin you, expect spending 10-20k for fitting the wheels properly. You're going to need to get custom built shocks to mount the bags, adjustable control arms, shortened front knuckles, full tubbing of front and rear wheel wells, possibly full re-build of the front shock towers, front frame rails will need to be notched, crazy radius front and rear (maybe need to go to the doors at the 2nd gen gs)... hmmm something else I bet, but just doesn't come to mind =)

So I hope you give this some serious pondering before you decide to travel this path...

Well easiest and best way out would be not putting 22's on any gen GS, so if you want to tuck big'ish rims go with 20"ers. With the right suspension setup and wheel specifications you can get away with minimal bodywork (slightly rolled fenders = pro work 100-300 bucks)

That's just my 2cents, and I'm basing this of my own tribulations to fit a staggered 20"/21" setup on my 1st gen, and what I've learned while studying this game for the past 4 years :shrug:

just lookin for suggestions on how to go at this the right way...I'm from philly and we go big on rims out here that's why i wanted to put 22"s but i see this setup won't work so just lookin for some suggestions....

you're asking quarterbacks how to swing a bat. different game. i'm sure you can do 22s and bags without too much trouble if you do it the easy way (not laid out, not aggressive fitment, w\ etc.) but we do things differently around here. it's a different set of values. if you want to do it our way the first step is realizing that 22s aren't the way to go. we chase quality, not inches. 20s-18s are generally considered acceptable on your chassis. the lower you go, the more work. the better your wheels fit, the more work.

thanks OG you gave me direction on the way you guys do it that's what i was lookin for some type of direction...

I would advise looking in the gallery.  Those are the kind of cars that vsc focuses on.

checked the gallery out and got a better idea on what vsc is lookin for but just found out that philadelphia is having an auto show starting this weekend...philly international auto show: Jan 28th-Feb 5th, The Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107... and liberty vip cars are going to be there so i'm going to go and get a good look at these vip cars up close and hopefully get a chance to talk to some of these guys...

^ good idea.  in the end, it just comes down to what kind of car you want to build...dont NOT get 22" just because its not considered "vip"  if you like 22" wheels, get 22" wheels.  
if you stick with high offsets and reasonable widths, im sure you can at least get rid of the wheel gap without too much effort.
