Another GS

Figured I'd make a build thread and keep track of all my progress here instead of posting it in my intro thread.

With that being said, here is my 2002 gs300 that I just bought about 2-3 weeks ago.

The day after I bought it I ordered the ksport airtech pro plus kit (Still waiting for that to show up)

And I picked these up a few days ago

Just waiting for the bags to show up so I can put them on, roll the fenders, and hopefully throw the wheels on if it ever stops snowing.

looks good can't wait to see the rims and suspension on it...i'm going to grab a gs myself in a few weeks...what's the size on the rims

i like the 5 zigen fireball for the 2gs.

Yeah I've heard a lot about the 5zigen.  I'll have to look into it!

(haha cut off valve stem butts for grommets on the air lines ^)

Everything seemed fine. No leaks anywhere, everything was working properly. So I drove it home and parked it. Next morning I took it back up to the shop and was getting ready to roll the fenders and put the wheels on but when I aired it up a little I noticed the right front bag wasn't airing up. I checked it for leaks, checked the lines, fittings everything.  But then I noticed the leak was coming from the release on the box, as soon as I put air in it instantly starts letting it right back out. I called ksport and they said it could possibly be a stuck valve or bad solenoid? Anyone ever had that happen? 
They are just going to send me a new box I guess but it still sucks to spend all day working on it and then still not be able to drive it, I ended up just unhooking everything and putting the stock struts back in since I'm sure it will be a few weeks until I get everything back from them.

Wow that sucks bro, but all in all the GS looks really good so far. I hope everything gets worked out. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see it when is all said and done. :biggthumpup:

Yeah hopefully it works out, I sent the part back to ksport and they should be sending me a new one pretty soon. Hopefully everything goes smooth from there.

Ksports warrant department is a joke. Its been weeks now and I still don't have my parts back and now they are saying they aren't going to warranty it. The customer service has been horrible to deal with and they were very rude in their emails. I wouldn't buy anything from them again.

the fuck... should've just kept the struts and gone with an electric valve set up.

I still have the struts. I have everything except the valve box setup. I talked to their manager and he said he is gonna see what they can do to help me out but if they won't warranty it I'm just gonna find a different valve setup.

ksport should be carefull...word of mouth will quickly make or break this company since a lot of people are suspicious of their quality as it is.

Thats what I told the guy too. Word spreads quickly on forums, and if they aren't gonna do anything to help me out after spending $4,000 on their defective shit I'll make sure everybody knows how much they suck. 

But yeah, I'm still waiting to hear back from them. They said they are going to test everything and see exactly what is wrong and then they MIGHT be able to help me out. But if not I'm just gonna buy a different valve setup and be done with them. That being said, what would you guys recommend for a good valve setup? Not sure if I would do electric or manual yet.

So its finally settled. After emailing back and forth for weeks Ksport finally decided they would help me out and try to fix the valve. It ended up being a pretty easy fix. They said there was just a piece of plastic stuck in the valve holding it open. Simple enough. Its a little frustrating that its been over 2 1/2 months since I ordered the kit and my car still isn't done, but at least its fixed now. I should be getting everything back next week. Then hopefully I will have some updated pictures.

psssssssht 2 1/2 months, screw that! settles it for me, stay away from ksport air. In respect to a good thread, let's see some updates on the clean GS. You started off very nice w/ a clean GS, lets keep it rolling.

Seriously. It took about a month for the bags to get here, they were on for less than 24 hours, and then about another month and a half for them to get it all taken care of. But my parts should be here monday or tuesday and then I'll post some new pictures!

So I got all my parts back and got them in, finally got the fenders rolled and wheels fitted. So far so good. And I got everything done just in time for a local car meet. Here are a few pictures from the meet and one I took after work today.

Looks good, gotta polish out those headlights tho...

I polished the shit out of those things like 3 weeks ago and they already look foggy again. I think I need some new ones. Or to reseal those ones or something.

wet sand and have them cleared.

K sport has had many issues with friends stuff too. 

Anywho car looks good. time to get new tails, remove wing, and new headlamps ;P
