unsafe vehicle ticket!!!!!

So I got a unsafe vehicle ticket today cuz of my camber and my air sus. On the ticket the cop just put unsafe vehicle ( no notes of my camber or air) but he took cell phone pics of my bags and cambered rear wheels. 
So has anyone else experienced this too? Any help or advise???

So its a fix it ticket then??
What box did he check correctable / or non correctable?
Dunno why he took the pic maybe to use it in court??...but if its a fix it ticket it shouldn't even come to that.

Since your on bags when you go down to the station just go aired up & hide the switch box or however your controls are set up.

You,do know that air suspension is illegal unless u can prove that it came on the car.
Sucks this happen to you but im not surprised, it was bound to happen soon enough to you or cuban.

Did they advise mud gaurds? Sometimes they can get u for that too

swap over to stock suspension and take it to court? dunno how cali road laws are, cops don't very often give tickets for things of that nature over here.

Yea its not common in Cali but when ur that extreme its bound to happen

I was pulled twice for -10 on my old Q45.. Never ticketed for unsafe vehicle though. That car was static so no bags, but the ride height was illegal (which I got ticketed for). 

He said "the reason I pulled you is because your rear suspension is broken" lol

i got ticketed for no front plate, car too low, "rear wheels not touching ground", and front wheels rubbing fenders

was a fix it ticket.  taped the plate to my bumper with doublesided tape and had my HR managers husband sign off on the whole thing (retired cop)

my brother got a ride height violation ticket when he was driving the Q around -- officer marked it non-correctable. fine was $400+ i think. you pay the fine and continue driving the car.

That sucks bro, pay the ticket and charge it to the game...I hate when cops be dicks for no reason. I got nailed for no plate today, never had a plate on it since i got it and drove by this douche a million times before today.......

I wish Kali wasn't so douche about this but cops are always effn with modified cars. Happened to me all the time with my many honda builds. As popular as the Vip scene is growing it was bound to happen...

When i get "altered vehicle height"  tickets I have always fealt that I'm low enough, then adter thatI cut a coil and a half off my coils 

TRUE STORY

That sux.... Never got a ticket (knock on wood)...was followed once at night from rear (no homo).and then from side...I was rolling slammed with all my leds,music and tint and was sure to get a ticket but the cop just later passed forward...I guess he/she didn't know who's inside and how the day might end...In my case if I do get stopped will raise car enough before the coppa tries anything stupid...
Ps I would go to court and see if I can pay less ...GL

another member on here had his is300 towed because of ride height and tires rubbed front fenders. License plates confiscated until the car was raised back up

I got pulled over for my tint too dar and no front plate as well.
The cop asked about my ride height too.

I told him very carefully,  I've been practicing since I was 15. He didnt say anything about it after.

man i hope my 9-11 plate comes in handy, if not i know the chief of police of los angeles. ive been pulled over 4 times now in the q and asked to see my air ride go up and down twice!  cop must of got in a fight with his wife.

got pulled over twice and all i do is air it up just enough ! one time i aired it out a little didnt see the motorcycle cop was inbetween cars and he heard the AIR , pulled me right over and said i cant be doing that on the street and i said i just picked up the car from the shop and i always have to air it up cause it had a leak and im gonna take it back tomorrow ! ha ha ha! he said oh okey ill give yah a break ! ha ha ha ! those were the days , now im on coilovers and cant do that !!! DANG NAB IT  !!!!

dang sorry to hear this from the OP. i've seen your car and yes you are pretty extreme. props for running that in HB and gl to you. this is definitely a fix it ticket, but i'm not sure if you need to show proof of correction. just wait for the ticket to show up in the mail, and keep us informed.

i've heard of poke getting you in trouble due to kicking up rocks and debris to other cars. which is why those lifted trucks should technically have mudguards to remedy that (though they are not in compliant with bumper height regulations, go figure just like us lowered folk). also for ride height your wheels need to be able to hold the car up in a tire blowout, meaning the body cannot hit the ground first before the wheel does from being too low. you become a hazard in a tire blowout!

Here the law states the body of the car can not be lower than the bottom part of your rim. Which if you have a kit you can argue.. but if your cars body is lower than your rim on a 35 series tire.. you dont live in the USA or you got air ride.. which the above does not apply to you.

I just got stopped yesterday because the cop thought my wheels were about to fall off, lol.  He was cool though and didn't ask about anything else.  I'm pretty thankful that in MN we're fairly free to mod our cars as we please, but I think that will change  =(

I never had crazy camber before, but all my cars are as low as possible. My old ls was so low static I would kick up street reflectors, and never been pulled over or asked about my height when I was pulled over, in Vegas or socal.

So I have to ask, what day did you get pulled over? I always make sure to only drive my stock daily at the end of the month, that's when they are Hurtin to fill their qouta. 

That sucks though. Hope you get it all situated relatively painlessly.

I got pulled over as well but wasnt issued a ticket. We argued about my camber and he believed that my tires were going to pop because of the stretch. They were all on their knees. I love TX

i had a unsafe vehicle ticket too. he said the wheels were too close to the body. deemed in unsafe and would have to be further reviewed.
ticket came home as a fix it ticket. cost me 30 bucks
