Noob y33 suspension question
I know there's the search button here but I've searched & still couldn't find an answer to my question...anyway I read up & learned that installing coilovers on a y33 is gonna need some welding done to the knuckle or spindle or something like that to be able to install it. My question is would these Megan coilovers (w/ spindles already on them) be a direct bolt on to the y33 or would there have to be some fab work done?
Here's the link to the coilovers:

Damn, coils for our cars are cheap and easy to find now!!!!! I had to source Y32 coils and have them rebuilt etc etc.
NAES-if they come like the picture then no you would not need fab work. Now if the lower spindles etc come separate then you would need to weld them on

i looked up those bc coils that i read about, how are those suspension? The only reason i'd settle for these megans is because im not a fab work kinda guy & more of a bolt-on kinda guy (reason being my ls400 was all bolt-on parts pretty much) and it already comes with the spindles.

alright thanks for the input! i read somewhere about welding knuckles. that's why i had to ask the question to see if it was spindles or knuckles you'd have to have welded on.
what are the suspension options to choose from for the y33's (the ones that already have the spindles)?

Bc coils are available w/ spindle for $1150. We had the first set and ran into an issue with the caliper bolt hole baing too small but it has been reported and will be fixed.

so as far as coils w/ spindles already attached to it, megans would be my best bet?

bc > megan
BCs would be my choice. same price and better quality. i had to run megan y33 coils and do the mods necessary to make em work. then they came out with the megans w/ spindles THEN BCs with spindles not longer after....i was upset lol now im bout to be orderin stiffer springs once OG gives me a shipped price lol

that sucks dude lol. but bc coilovers huh? has that problem that OG mentioned about the caliper bolt hole being too small been fixed already?
i mean its not like im gonna be ordering coils anytime very soon, but just keeping my options open for the future.

Wow good thing! So when would it be "safe" to order these bc coils? I'm officially an owner of a y33 last night. Picked it up at 1030pm =) Build/intro thread on the car will be posted later.

i think it'd be "safe" to order right now, but if you want to make the best decision possible wait until i get this first set installed. i did some conservative custom specs but there mmay be a better formula. unfortunately i've had a lot of things delay mocking up the install.

Yeah I think I'll wait for a bit. I ain't in any rush. You already have the coils or you ordered them already and just waiting on it?
