RExOG UCF20 - Keepin' It In The Fam

So yeah... After committing to finishing my G50 project and parting out my UCF10 project here we are, with another non-drivable car. This time it's fellow RE member Jeebus' UCF20. Here's how it happened: Jeebus was basically tired of the car and didn't want to continue building it. At one point I thought that he was just unhappy with how stuff came out; but after getting some things straightened up and making some progress it was obvious he still wasn't feelin' it. Those that have known him longer than I have say he was never really excited about the car. Guess it just wasn't meant to be; but rather than watch him drive it into the ground we came up with an agreeable price for the car, minus the stuff that didn't interest me. So here we go, my build thread will start where his left off:

[/LIST]So if you liked this car as it was, as many did, you're probably not too excited about me rebuilding it. This car was flashy and built by the book; air, aggressive wheels, body work, kit, paint, etc. The only part I really love about the car is the interior so you are right if you are assuming it will be completely changed eventually. However, I am not delusional about my time/money situation and right now getting this bad boy on the streets is the #1 goal. So here's how it's gonna go down:
 
Body - The car will remain pink. The paint is a little sketchy, but it will do for now. I also chose to keep the fenders because of this. Eventually, I will redo the rear fender work, and go back to stock metal fenders, but that will come with time. I am going back to stock bumpers/sides (+ urethane lip). I actually contemplated a kit on this one, but as a cost effective move more than anything. The stock body parts are hard to find used, so I will most likely end up spending a couple stacks on new stuff. I was thinking the kit would be the better bang for the buck, but it would have come in at $5K+. No thanks, plastic > fiberglass.

Wheels - Along with the car I am scooping up the 19" Koenigs I talked Jeebus into buying. They will be rebuilt to a 19x10 offset staggered setup, most likely in a Monster colorway. The Monster was a limited version of the Koenig featuring white faces with gold accents. So yeah, white wheels on a red car... We'll see, but this is really being done in prep for v2. Until then I will probably rock the Carlsson 1/12s, intended for the G50, with some helluva spacers.

Suspension, Etc. - One of the good things about buying the car is we had already been working on the suspension. It is now fully decked out with camber adapters, rear lower control arms, and traction/toe arms; all from Studio. The arms will be powdercoated sun gold, as well as the brakes. Slotted rotors and braided lines will be swapped over from my UCF10. For now I will running the JICs from the first gen. I would really prefer to run a current offering (BC), but I can't get rid of these and they are great coilovers anyway. The car will be aligned at -7* all around.
 
So we'll have the body complete once again, have the car sitting right, have some decent wheels on... What else? Here's where I'm going to have to show some restraint. I'm not trying to rebuild this whole car right now; however I do have some other parts laying around, as well as some parts I want badly. 4.7L Tundra block? Fo' sheezy. Sense Brand exhaust? Perhaps. Car PC/Tru/Dynaudio set up? Lemme see where I can fit those damn tweeters...

So stock bumpers on the carlssons and -7* of camber, should be interesting seeing the wheels spaced out hard, what was camber in the rear prior to part out again?

previous alignment was -4/12*.

the only arm that hasn't been released, to my knowledge, is the traction. this was a one off they made by my measurments so i'm not sure if it will be released before fitment confirmation (will be fitted after refinishing). the lower control arm was the prototype, but it is now in production.

it will not be oni. i'm pushing the "lucky 7", it is what i recommend to customers and what i like for my cars. 7* is just enough to look tough, but not so much that it looks extreme. imo of course.

just ask yourself what jeebus would do, and do the opposite with the build.

don't expect too much fellas. this was really a bad time for me to buy a new project, even if it only needs a little work. if i can get it streetable by the summer i'll be happy. then i'll go back to the g50 and work on the ucf20 as i can.

thanks fellas. unfortunately, this won't be quick. i'm in a financial low right now and it really wasn't the best time for me to get into yet another project. don't be surpsied if you see this beast made whole and posted for sale later this year. after some cosideration i'm thinking this car may be better in someone else's hands. no reason for me to undo all this hard work when someone else who appreciates it could put it to good use.

What year is it and does it still run?

believe it's a 2000 and it runs fine

98 and it runs. not ready to get rid of it just yet though.

Hopefully you keep it but either way I like the direction your thinking about taking .....

I want to ride it at least for the summer. On the bright side, most of the stuff I do will be functional or replacing missing pieces. Will be a great platform to build off for the next owner.

this is all i got so far besides a vision. the good news is i know what i'm gonna do and it's not all that complicated. just need to get my money right and there should be some decent progress quickly.

it will definitely be more of a street build then it was before, for a couple reasons:
 
1) i plan on dailying the car for a minute.
 
2) i plan on selling it after i've enjoyed it briefly and using the money from the sale on the g50 build. by not spending a lot on dress up mods i'll be able to keep the cost down for the next owner.
 
but i have come up with a plan that i think will have a decent impact:
 
suspension/brakes/wheels: full studio ucf20 lineup, nagisa tension rod and sway bar endlinks, moonface fuca (maybe), rear you zealand ss kit (maybe), gold powdercoated oem brakes, slotted zinc plated rotors, braided lines, upgraded pads, 18" gold faced wheels (19" koenigs if i can't get rid of them).
 
body: roof/trunk spoiler removed, led tails replaced with oem, oem (aftermarket) hid lights, oem bumpers w/ jp vizage urethane front lip, 3m scotchprint black carbon fiber trunk/hood wrap, gold pinstripe.
 
engine: custom exhaust w/ resonator delete, 4.7 block swap (maybe)
 
interior: nav hu, beatsonic dash kit/adapter, water transfer wood (maybe)
 
i think it'll be pretty dope. simple but complete.

tucking the fuse box harness, hood release cable, and windshield squirter tube into the frame rail. i've also changed the exterior portion of the build. details soon.

I definately wanna see the brakes in gold. As I was planning on something like that on mine...did you say carbon fiber on the trunk?

i was planning to do a 3m half wrap, which was a carbon print vinyl, but i decided on another route.
