My GS300 build - Junction Produce themed
Whattap fellas, I rarely post here. Im mostly on the CL forum. I wanted to share my build. I posted these pixes on the CL forum. Anyway, nothing new to go OOOO for on this one. I'm from Guam and building a fully themed JP GS here. All the parts I got, I ordered from the local JP rep..it took a while to get here only because these things are made to order. But the good part is, Guam is close by Japan and it takes bout 6 days for the ship to arrive here. On to some pixes...
My car before lowered on stockies...
New Scara Japans
11 piece bodykit
..and to show that it's legit...
Some small stuffs for now...gathering more.
HIDs I bought, but not gonna use em anymore..going retrofit route. Car is on Stance coils...
I sleep next to Scaras! hahaha...left stack are for another car in Hawaii...
Went to the shop yesterday, just some small progress going...
this is what my buddy called me for today...to let me know that there was work done to the roof area before i bought the car. dis really sux because he says that theres potential bubbling to occur in the long run especially with the weather here on Guam...rain hot rain hot rain hot. freakn BS man..just bout the whole entire roof was worked on. i bought this second hand from the dealer and a buddy of mine is gonna do some research to see what happened during the first owner's time. so for now, he'll redo the roof the best he can to prevent the bubbling from happening soon, fast, or whatever u wanna call it. ill update this thread as i visit the shop.
...sorry for the crappy pixes. im not a good photographer.

Ok, so I visited the shop. Just a small update...the passenger side panels fitted perfectly with no panels rubbing, alignment is nice. The driver side panel almost fitted perfectly..rear door panel nips the front when opened, but my friend said no big issue just a small shave and sanding will fix it, alignment is good. Other than that, most of the car is sanded. I'll need to get him 2 gallons of paint and clear again for the final layer once everything is assembled. Was thinking about high glamour clear..any thought on high glamour vs. 2 gallons of regular clear finish?
Driver side rear door panel with slight rub on front..bottom paint chipped.

No. painting a car to sand it down and repaint it again. I've honestly never seen that done before unless there were imperfections in the paint work.

Anyways, fellas....just a lil update and small teaser. The car's done..yes, its done. Well, somewhat. Im hesitant to post pixes cause I havent fully installed all the small pieces. And also, I havent had the time to tweak the suspension and camber a bit more. So for me right now, Im not satisfied and not ready to show it off. I do have something to show off for you guys though.
So the shipment came from japan. customs was being anal bout the crate and what came in. im still missing some small stuff...FOG LIGHTS!!! Junction rep is gonna find out what happened.
Type II JP Exhaust. and YES!! it's brand new and discontinued! If you guys order exhausts from JP, youll be given the Type III. I swear man, my local Junction rep can work wonders. In fact, he's building a JP LS430. I guess the best part bout living on Guam is that we're only 3hours by plane from Japan.

Sweet build man, and your painter's method of painting is actually the best method for achieving a perfect finish. Hence why your paint looks amazing, so it may not be the most efficient method to painting a car but your painter is one of those rare types that really care about attention to detail. Props on your build and purchases!

some pixes from a small shoot my friends did for a Guam local blog site hafadaze.com. my other friend has a few more higher quality ones that i havent gotten yet since he's too busy doing weddings and model stuff lately. anyway, i still havent found the time to tweak the camber for spacing and ride height..hopefully ill get all the small things done to finish up the exterior since summer's around.

Are you speaking of this shot? I was going with it had that look because of the filter they used on the pictures. Hopefully he can fill in on this. the way that the painter did the job with the repaint it should be slick as glass.

Yeah that's the one, after a closer look on rest of the shots it seems you're right on the filter. And especially with that extra step painting procedure one would expect glass like finish what's expected for every vip-like build.

Thanks, not sure on curing time before buffing. but I waxed it like 2 weeks ago and got those irritating swirl marks out. I wish I could go lower, but the roads here are crap. Also, no orange peel was used when the car was in the shop. The wheel pix is pretty much cam tricks or whatever u wanna call it to focus on the wheel...

cam filters..i guess. hahaha, i freaked out a bit and went to my car just to make sure it wasnt like that. other than that though, my painter says to take it in before any big shows so he could do touch ups. i do have scraps on the bottom of the bumper already and some tiny rock chips, usual stuff thatll always happen.

nonsense. cars are blocked to perfection during primer/surfacer, not base/clear. my money is on respray because of issues/imperfections the first go round.

orange peel refers to texture of the clear coat, similar looking to an orange peel.

...Just realized I forgot to update this thread. Anyway, as some of us know, Ty from Liberty VIP got something up his sleeve again. He recently had his New Scara's relipped, so I ended up buying his old lips. I haven't done the swap yet..no time to check the shop out here. At the time of my build, I wanted to go with just a flush look, but I couldn't pass up on the deal that Ty offered. I'll post pics later when the wheels get relipped.

whattap fellas! thanks again for the comments. there are a lot better GSs than mine that had also pushed me to do this build. my GS is on hold for the moment. i still have plans to finish off the car..grill..minor interior work, futuras for sure..change out the taillights to the JP skinny strip. i recently picked up this bad boy last month, so this is my new project...been price sourcing parts for it and hopefully will start the build late this year to early next year.
she's a 2005, picked her up with a lil over 32000 miles on it. man this thing is a beast...so stoked to build this sucker already. i even thought of parting out the GS to fund the build faster. hahahaha...
