They discontinued the jz80/81 cressida, cause lexus was going to come out here. which was the es250, fwd and a mistake. looked like a toyota crown. Their big mistake was toyota was going to compete with the lexus name. Why couldnt we just, i dunno.. keep it toyota and make it simple and bring stuff over people would actually buy. Instead of some crap people just buy. Sure it worked, cause everyone bought one. Oh its safe cause its fwd.. I think it was cause it would compete too much with the crap we produce here. I mean, really.. why else would you put a truck motor in a 240, when it came turbo in japan? Emissions? no, competition? yes. We are seeing tons of 4cyl turbo cars now days that deal with emissions. We should be so lucky that there was enough 240s to even be sold so we can buy later. Just so it became popular to do a turbo swap, to pave the way of what we have today.

Like, in the 90s, who da fuck would by a Berreta, when you can have a jzx90 cresta? Why would you buy a cadillac, when you can have a Toyota Century? I Just looked and it shows now for a car to be brought in it has to be 30 years old, it use to be 25, then it was 20.
