Any thoughts on Infiniti M30 Coupe
I am picking one up from a family member who wants it out of their driveway. I did a little research at f31club and most guys are drifting them. I want something that is fast, fun, a little luxury and most importantly....rear wheel drive. Im thinkng this is a good deal. Plans are to go a little low, wide tires, clean interior w minor system. May do a 5 spd swap at some point. I cant find any pics of one VIP style.
What are your thoughts?

vg30e is a decent motor to turbo. find a 84-86 300zx turbo to scoop the manifolds off of. or you can swap in a sr or rb ;)

The M30 is a Leapord in Japan. They are basically a luxury model R31 Skyline. The R31 Skyline front clip will bolt directly onto a M30. I've never seen one modified VIP style. Only common problem i know of is the power steering line from the pump down to the rack and pinion has a section of rubber hose that has to be replaced. I think I paid 100 bucks to get mine rebuilt. Relatively easy to remove and reinstall if you have access to a car lift. Other than that, they seem to be solid cars.

yeah the verts are a pos. i wouldnt mind finding a hardtop and doin a 5spd swap from a 4/87+ 300zx turbo as well as the 3.70 lsd rear end. and then swappin the turbo manifolds over ;) i was big into the z31 turbos.....but that black one is teets! esp with my dream wheels :giggity:

Thanks guys. I have seen the black one before. The build thread is on f31club. According to wiki there were only 5000 90-92 M30s produced and 2500 were made into verts. This will be my first RWD car. I have already looked into the s13 and s14 suspension swaps, Z31 manual swap, and some engine upgrades. I understand that the exhaust is somewhat of a direct swap too.
It already has timing belt, water pump, and thermostat replaced. At this point in time I just want to go get the car, fix the leaky radiator, and drive it!! =)
