Check your tires before you pull out!!

if you have stretched tires..maybe check em before you pull out...The last couple of really cold days, i noticed that cars on our team with stretch tires that are parked outside overnight in the cold tend to "pop" the beads, the last couple of nights. I got a call every morning for help with there tires, they were flat and off the rim. This morning I walked out to find mine had done the same. Thats 4 different cars as of today. Im guessing it has something to do with the weather. Anyone having similar problems or heard of such a thing? You could still actually drive on them and not notice your flat until you hit a pothole or driveway bump and by that time, its too late and youll need to get your lips redone....watch out..

wow, how much of a stretch do those cars have?  My 245 on 10" seems to be doing fine...

I believe cold weather does have an affect of the tires deflating.  

Mine was deflated too, and I didnt realized that I was running flate for 30 minutes, and when I realized and put air. It eventually poped and damaged the tire which sucks..cuz now I need to purchase a new tire.

I had 215/35/19 falken azenis ST115 on a 8" wide rim..has a good stretch, but not as crazy as what I have seen on others.

yeah, my 245's on 10"'s don't seem to have any problems either.. knock on wood..

don't mean to thread-jack here.. but AClean do you have any vibration issues at high speeds with that set-up?

yeah probly wont happen to everyone, but i hate seeing a good set of wheels go to waste....just letting everyone know to check...
my friends are running a 
1. 215/40/18 on a 8 
2.225/40/18 on a 9 
3. 235/40/18 on a 10
4. mine were 265/30/19 on a 10.5

all one wheel from different cars..but also all the wheels were on the rear..maybe the slant on the driveways affected it??? not sure..

crap, i gotta check my Q its been sitting for alomost 2 weeks now. i notice how my front driverside is a little low on air. then again the wheel is turned on a slanted driveway. eek!!

Air pressure drops with lower temperature, so maybe if the initial pressure was kinda lowish. .or checked when it was hot. . . .when the temp dropped so did the PSI. . causing them to lose enough pressure to pop off. . Thats what im thinkin. .

a agree ... i'm running a 255 on a 11 and a 215 on a 9.5 .. with no problems, heck but i'm in florida.... lol....

interesting. my is on blocks right now, so mo pressure on the tires anyway.

Nope, no vibration at all...

Curious to how much air pressure you guys leave in the tires as well...with my Falken 452's...max air pressure is 51...i leave it around 44-46psi...

thats interesting, i never heard of anything like that before.

Weird i had the same problem 2 days ago.  I took a buddy home and when i got back to work, i heard a hissing sound from the drivers side rear tire.  Since I work at Island Motor Sports, i jacked up my car and went to the tire machine.  The bead and just popped off a little and this was at night so it was cold outside.  Im running a 215/40/18 on a 9.  I just re-seated the bead and it was fine.
