infiniti Q45 Y33 camber question
I hardly ever post on here, but I have a question regarding the parts needed to achieve more camber in the rear of my 1998 infiniti q45. I am aware that the Ruca's from a s14 240sx is compatible with the y33, is there anything else that i need to achieve more camber? I'm also assuming that I'm gonna need a traction rod as well for more camber or am i wrong? I'm actually trying to achieve roughly 6 degrees of camber in the rear. Sorry for the noob question, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Daymn, looking forward to seeing the outcome:biggthumpup:
So 4" and demsum to fit... so with just camber you'd need approximately 13 more degrees of neg. camber from the upper pivot point to clear. Shieet =)

this is going to run a grip in hawaii - i think is very doable - depends on how deep your pockets are - im thinking 10-15K plus for a reputable body shop in hawaii (best case)
with that kind of stretch any attempt at a decent ride height - with 6 degrees camber - expect your inner barrel to be less than an inch from the pavement - fender flair and arms definitely

I'm actually pretty experienced in autobody/bodywork myself, metal fender flares are coming in from Japan and should be arriving soon. I'm good friends with Gary from js4kix garage here in Honolulu, so paint when I'm ready will be handled as well as finish bodywork. I've got big goals with this build and enough funds to handle this journey. They don't call this VIP style for nothing so as long as nothing ridiculous happens that is gonna have a adverse effect on my funds then I'm fine for now. I've always loved your Q and it was always awesome seeing you on the freeway while you were here in Hawaii. Gonna take my time with this remodel to get it to where I can make a little dent in the scene, but at the same time try to budget my spending. Baller on a budget build, I know kind of an oxymoron, but that phrase fits my situation fine.

good god, were those rims on island?
i dont think this will help at all but my stock body with -5.8* camber on some 19x10s +5 cleared with no issues
rolled them today with a slight pull, zeroed the camber out on the same rims and they cleared no prob. gl with fitting the -69s tho.

Btw about the stretch, the tires came with the wheels and is way beyond the stretch I'm comfortable with so 265/35 is the next purchase and honolulu roads are probably the hell of all roads and a wheel/suspension nightmare.

Rims were purchased by a friend through revision audio, they were actually supposed to go on my friend's infamous 350z, but he sold the car and parted the wheels to me new and only mounted tires for test fitting for clearance. Thanks bro, it's gonna be a chore since pulling my fenders didn't do crap, but put waves on my quarter panel and give me about 1 inch and 1/4 pull. I gave up after attempting the driver side and sourced metal fender flares since fiberglass won't do it for me.

I'm back on island. Lol. Good to see guys pushing the limit. Car will be back in a couple of months. My rebarrel is about 19x10.5 -34 19x12-20. Hopefully this helps.
Looks like we could legitimately have a y33 crew in Hawaii.

Dope Bro, welcome back. hopefully my car will be ready by the time your car comes in so i can keep up. I'm excited to see you update it and change it up, been watching you go through all those phases even back when it was black. lol. I am a fan. BTW, my question originally was about whether or not s14/s13 traction rods were a must if i wanted to achieve more camber and if they were compatible with the y33. I already ordered some s14 ones from wicked so i guess I'm gonna just wing it and try to see if it works.

Since I haven't officially intruduced myself formally this is how my car is currently most of you from Hawaii have probably seen it before. I'm getting away from the tucked look and trying to achieve the poke/stuffed look and at the same time incorporating more of my ideal style.

Thanks guys I definitely appreciate the comments and interest, don't get me wrong, I love my car and how it looks, I'm just getting bored from the classy look since I've been seeing it at this state for a few years now. Time for a change and a little more agressive look, but still rocking the class. I now can say I feel for those guys in Japan when they change their style every other year, it's just the feeling of a renewal of passion I guess.

I went ahead and purchased some s14 wicked traction rods not knowing if they'll even fit. I'm hoping they do though, but there's only one way to find out I guess. Lol. Custom metal fenders came in so I'll post pics when I get the chance to mock them up. Looks like a ridiculous amount of bodywork is ahead of me. I also decided to redo my front bumper and add a little more chin to it similar to the old school classic VIP style look since I love that look. Tons of fiberglassing for that too is what's on the to do list. Thinking of actually starting the work once I figure out what kit I need to purchase and cut up for the custom front bumper project.

I only did the rear arms and I tried to use all S14 designated parts. Upper control arm, traction arm and toe arm. I think traction arm you don't really need it but I could be wrong but UCA and Toe arm for sure. Just buy all 3 since they are fairly cheap from Megan.

Oh my bad bro I didn't know which wheels you were talking about exactly, but those are definitely Leon hardiritt ordens that are waiting to go on once I get my fenders done and my camber situated. I can't run those without cutting out te fender however some demon camber might do the trick haha.
