they are pretty problem free cars. the y34 and f50 have had the least amount of problems i have seen in any of the infiniti cars from working in the dealership!
bulbs are cheap, dont sweat shocks if you plan on puttin coils/bags on, and cats...well get some low profile high flows when you replace them.

those are cheap fixes esp if your ditching the OEM shocks

I saw that car for sale on Craigslist.. I'd pay attention to the transmission. Also interior condition. The price was too good to be true.

Lol I was about to check that one out today but it's raining...anyways I am looking at another vehicle but like stated those aren't expensive maintenance issues and I would check out the starter as well he mentioned that when he first posted the car.
Price is fair in my opinion considering all the cons he also stated has oxidation on the roof so every dollar adds up...

either the solenoids or the brushes wear out. thats why you would get that 'click' sometimes on the first try then it will start. but sooner or later it will stop working period. lol my m does it every now and then, and i have a spare starter (for doing the same thing lol) that i am going to rebuild for when i need to swap it out. infiniti doesnt sell parts, just the starter alone and its like $4-500 :signdammit:

Well shit.. mine too. it only did it if it was heavy rain or really hot out. At first i thought it was key cause if i took it out and turned it around it started or doing that half a click start til it started up. now that i know that.. buying a starter
its a good thing its not on top of the motor like the vk56 crap

Crazy. My F50 starting having the same problem with not starting. First time took the key out and back in and fired up. A few days later it wouldn't start at all. Had to tap the starter because the contacts were likely worn.
HID bulbs from the dealer are close to $200 each. Don't know if I'd call that cheap. I had both HID ballasts die on me. Only other problem was a cracked exhaust mid pipe.

yeah, starters are visible from the bottom passenger side. but you gotta jack up the motor and take out the motor mount to get it out :)

Wasn't too bad I just replaced my starter yesterday it was only like $130...on a plus side the luxury amenities on the f50 compared to the cabin of my Y33 makes my Y33 feel like a civic haha

I agree it is a a world of a difference on interior from Y33 to F50 but seems F50 has some issues.
I'm also curious how this car turned out. Did you buy it?
