Y33 idle help

So I just got done putting in new valve cover gaskets and spark plugs on my 99 Q. WHen i started it it it was idling up and down from 1k-2k, then after about a minute it went down to about 550 rpm and started sputtering real bad. It ran for about 5 minutes before shutting off. If I rev it it feels great, so I'm thinking it might have something to do with the IACV? I had to remove the throttle body and iacv to remove the valve cover. I'm going to check it out tommorrow, look for any vaccum leaks or anything. Anyone know what might be causing the rough idle?

MAF sensor?   vacuum leak?

if it didnt do it before i did work...then sounds like a vacuum leak.

Eureka! It was the iacv gasket, thanks guys.

so basically a vacuum leak at the IACV which in turn affects the MAF...  good job!

unmetered air is a no-no lol
