91 Ls400 running kind of hot

I just replaced both ignition coils and put on a new exaust setup. But thar,was a few days a. Now the temp guage sits on the line above half. I just did a complete coolant flush this morning and installed a new thermostat about a minth ago. Its still the same. anyone has the same problem where there temp guage sits to high

I wouldn't get frightened about that, as long as it doesn't go any higher. How long does it take to heat up? Might just be a little air in the system, if the readout before was noticeably lower.

wrd. might want to bleed your cooling system, could solve the problem.

looks higher than it needs to be but as long as it doesnt climb any higher, you wont hurt the motor. i'd def look into an air bleeding procedure for your car.....most cars have a specific way to bleed any air out of the cooling system. if not, stick a funnel on the rad where the cap goes and let the bubbles flow out while u run the engine.

Maybe you need a new radiator...small leak somewhere?

sounds like air in your system Lexus always has small pockets of air stuck in the heater core and lines. What you can do is run the car cold without the cap on, jack the front end up high or park on a steep hill that way the coolant gets to the core and pushes the air out of it. Easiest way to get all the air out. Hope this helps

just saw the pic yeah thats above normal, does it take a while for your car to warm up? does your temp fluxuate at stand still (higher) freeway speeds (lower) ? do you get almost instant heat from your heater? any coolant loss? weird stumbling when you first start your car? has your car ever over heated? loss of power?  what degree theromstat did you install? sorry for all the questions lol i work on cars for a living and am here to help

Welcome back Rene. More than likely air in the system. If not check, water temp sensor for gauge.

When's the last time the water pump was replaced?

If the above suggestions don't solve the issue, and your temps keep climbing, consider replacing that.
