Is there any bolt-on coilover for the f50?

The title is self explanatory. If there isn't, which coilover needs the less customization in order to fit the f50 and which is good and on the 1000$ price range? Thanks.

In the $1000 range they will all need to be welded on to the existing spindle

parts shop MAX Y34 app will fit (Y34 and F50 suspension is the same), 1250. Requires welding.

Well how about the ones that you dont need? Call me a p&*#% but im scared to cut my oem parts (which are expensive as hell in these cars) and mess it up. How much are the ones you dont need to cut & weld?

I had seen that i the vendors for sale post but like i told OG i dont want to spend 1150$ and then I will still have to weld and cut parts in my car.

It's a pretty straight forward job cutting any welding the front spindles. If your worried about messing up your spindles take it to a place with fab experience and call it a day .. Good luck

Yeah, plus the amount in labor usually to cut and weld will be the same as getting ones with spindles.

With spindles costs about $2250,- in Japan, dunno for the US.

$2250 - $1250 for the ps Max is $1000.   $1000 for labour. 

I will weld your's for $500 :biggthumpup:

bc coils come with the spindle for not that much over a grand. maybe 1200? OG knows. its on the thread.

When they were so cheap, I would have them now instead of Megan Racing. :)

the spindles may vary from car to car, the bc spindle option may not work.

How many of you guys have cut and welded spindles and have been riding on them for a while with an aggressive drop with no problems? 

My only concern is that i dont want to kick my self in the ass for not spending an extra $1000 for a tested bolt on application from a known brand like buddy club or JIC.

very few y34/f50 guys have full coilovers that didn't require welding. there are some complete imported options availablle but the price always held owners back. i remember i couldn't  stand the y34 threads about how they didn't have any options, but the truth is they were/are always available. everyone just wanted a $1K coilover. it wasn't until the budget brand weld in y33 options were released that the stateside y34/f50 game really stepped up. fyi, the japanese coils are built with oem spindles (some even require a core charge). so you can pay $1K+ for someone in japan to cut up oem spindles and put their coilover on, or you can pay someone over here much less to do it.
 
chances are the y33 spindle is not interchangable. if someone wants to send me a y34/f50 spindle for comparison i'll check it out.

I'm picking up a Y34 Monday (4/9) and going to be purchasing coilovers shortly after. So I'm really trying to figure this all out.

it's really not that complicated. the readily available "y34" app (pbm is the only one i know of) is a y33 front with a z33 rear. there's also the option to custom order this setup (bc racing, maybe others). if you don't want to cut/weld there are pre-assembled jdm options in the $2k+ range.

Man up cut spindle and call it a day.

I can bring my F50 by your shop if you want to compare.

I like BC from all the reviews I've read...so OG thats probably the route I'll go so I'll be getting with you. But I don't know what spring rates and etc.

that might work once i am caught up, but that will be a while. we'll need to compare bj/tie rod tapers as well as a couple other things.

never got one in the shop. best bet is y/z hybrid weld in.

The power by max are really nice. They get real low and ride like a good sport suspension.
