Ceramic Clear Spray front of car

Any body guys or people with knowledge know what to get when ordering for my painter?  I need a brand or specific part number.  I asked him about it and he said he has never used it before.  Will it lay down just like clear or should I shy away since he hasn't done it before?  Any advice appreciated.

I don't know about the ceramic, however I am looking at a few options myself and have been tossing around the idea of using a blended Desmodur N3390 BA / Desmophen A 665 BA/X clear for my build, or giving an aircraft polycarbonate clear a try, per recommendation of my painter. The issue with aviation clear seems to be that I could possibly be dealing with necessary orange peel for adherence, which simply won't work for me, but I am the earliest stages of my research on this topic, and I am certainly no expert. The source of this information is the opinion of an expert body and paint specialist/ friend who runs a 5 second vehicle, and has had to repaint many times due to "june bugs at 200+mph" blasting holes in his paint.

Thanks for the info.  I know there are options out there that people have tried and I need to get the info ASAP as the painter will be cutting the clear this weekend!  Anyone else got anything?

So, updates...a buddy at work told me about this thing called Tip Top clear coat.  Said it is a 2 part, like most clears, but it is really soft.  He actually paints sand rails with it and they remain flawless even with constant sand blasting they experience.  He said it is the industry standard.  They just mix it really soft.  It can lay down over wet sanded clear and be buffed out and take wax and everything...
 
I am going to research it a little.  He siad there is no way to blend it, so if you want the front of the hood done, you have to do the whole hood.  He said half gallon is enough to do front of car, fenders, and mirrors with some left over.
 
Any thoughts?

does the clear "vinyl" option not work as designed, idk, if that option works why risk a mismatched paint job, my 2cents

clear bra yellows over time, and there is a very visible line where it ends. everyone i know who has a clear bra hates it and thinks it was a huge waste of money.

So for anyone following this, I called a local air brush supply store and spoke with the rep.  She said tip top changed the company manuf name to Virtus.  turns out it is a non-reducible clear and it is what many old school hot rodders(show cars) and sand toys use for clear coating.  It is a lot softer and lays down thicker than normal.

So my painter said since he has not worked with the clear before, he is gonna let me take the car fully done and bring it back in about 2 weeks after the clear has fully cured.  Dunno if I want to make another trip down after I wait, my buddy offered to lay down the clear and cut it for free if I buy the materials.  He is the guy that paints the rails...free work usually ain't good tho...just gonna do the front end and mirrors.
