Productive Day Off..... New Mods

I had the day off from work and the kids were in school. So I did a bunch of little mods. And plan to do a few more.
 
First mod of the day. I polish a set of headlight lenses. I plan to install a new pair of angel-eye headlights in. I had paint the bezel to match the car. I need to order the new angel-eye kit. But you get the idea.

Second of the day. Custom Lincoln emblems. By dumb luck I came across my "old" Lincoln emblems. I decided to try to custumize them. This is what I didi.
 
First step, took a razor and removed all the adhesive.
 
Second step, took some sand paper and sanded off the black painted backing.

Third step, used some Autumn Red touch paint and painted them.

Last step. mounted them.

Added two more more tubes to the custom lighting. 
10" LED tube under the CAI.

Granted the StreetFX Colorstorm system isn't something you would ever see on VIPStyle type vehicle. I got the kit free several years ago as a sponsored vehicle with the company. I did a few Hot Import Night shows for them. The lights fit in perfect with that type of atmosphere and crowd. Almost all of the lights are install so that you can't see them.  They are fun at night car cruises. The kit does a lot of different things. Fade, pulse, strobe. I can do multiple colors at once. Here is an "old" video of the LS with the lights on.

Next mod is shaved door lock. Lincoln LS only has one door lock. Driverside front door. I got a driverside rear door handle to mount in its place. Need to paint it first.

I did do a few silly little things to clean up the look. 
 
1. Got a new polish aluminum oil cap.
 
2. Painted the insdie edge behind the grille black. So you can't see the Autumn Red paint behind the grille.
 
3. Used some black etching paint to touch up a spot on the front cross member behind the hood latch. It was Autumn Red. You could see through a some opening on a black plastic cross-member cover. 
 
4. Repaired the center console information center buttons. They tend to break after awhile with the LS. Mine just happen to have broke last week.
 
5. Replaced the overhead center console. Previous owner apparently broke it. Super clued back in. Friend gave me one th at was perfect condition. So I swapped it out. 
 
6. Installed Sylvania Silverstar highbeem 9005 in my foglights. I now have Sylvania Silverstar 9006's in lowbeems and Sylvania Silverstar highbeem 9005's in my highbeems and foglights. I pity the a-hole that comes at me with his brights on.=)
