Yea, I understand it and can agree. I jus like to poke at the topic often
because it(air/ride height) shouldn't take away from persons build

W/ my current set of wheels, I'm back to riding higher than w/ my previous set until I can get everything dialed and straighten out but IMO it's been nice to ride around, still look low and aggressive and not have to worry about rubbing (as much) or tearing up my almost non existant undercarrige, oil pan, cats, etc.

*cars w/ anytype of fucked up fender doesn't look good at all parked or rolling. Not easy to sit on fender and ride around like that w/ perfect/close to perfect fenders

I have nothing to prove, I'll leave all that static/lowest ride height stuff to cats like cuban and others lol

Well yes and no. Ride height is (IMO) an integral part to the way a car looks. I'm not completely discounting air, because I really like some of the benefits of it. Which is why I tried it out on my car, but even with raised lower mounts I wasn't able to drive at a height I felt was sufficiently low. So I am switching to coilovers, I might add a cup kit later this year when Fortune Auto releases theirs.

There were a few things that bothered me about air, but the biggest factor was ride height. I'm anal about my cars ride height, I guess you could compare me to an anorexic girl when it comes to ride height.

I completely agree about the fucked up fender issue, and there will always have to be a compromise if you arn't running air to achieve a certian look. Generally not being as flush up front so you can turn..lol

Anyway, I'm way off topic here. Just pointing out, watching videos of some cars with air driving is frustrating because they look so good parked.

When driving yes, but in mags, pics, shows, foruns, etc. when you don't see it driving or air'd out, height is also an integral part of how it looks

I'm curious to see what you consider "sufficiently low" is

I can understand that. My last setup I was pretty anal about my height and even now w/ at it's current state I am. Jus now, I'm not as worried about being "so" low to impress anybody or myself (for now, heh)

Which is why I always debate the topic of air, for personally I feel my drive height was pretty damn low for being on air

Again, which shouldn't take away from the overall build of the car
Take Gato's car for example, it's on air (iirc) and whether it's aired up or rollin
cats aren't taking away from the build. I guess the fine point I'm understanding is that as long as it's a respectable drive height which is to be determind by the eye of the beholder

Take Gato's car for example, it's on air (iirc) and whether it's aired up or rollin
cats aren't taking away from the build. I guess the fine point I'm understanding is that as long as it's a respectable drive height which is to be determind by the eye of the beholder

True enough.. you're car has always been on point...lol

I don't know how to explain sufficiently low other than I wasn't happy with it. The biggest reason was I could drive it low... but I couldn't drive it at speed low because i didn't have enough air in the bags for it to ride decent. I could drive it at full down with enough clearance underneath but it wasn't "drive-able"

My intent is to make previous aired out height my new ride height on coilovers.

yea, that's a little of my problem now. Which is why I spent the extra loot and bought Airrunner's OTG (adjustable strut/bag) set up to hopefully allow me to ride around w/ more air in my bag at a lower height
:shrug:We'll see

Good luck w/ that

Yea, I considered a Bag/Coilover setup but I dunno. The hardest part is factoring in radiused fenders (I'm sure you're aware) with ride/park height. Coilovers is just the simplest solution since ride height and park height will remain the same.

Some cars look great at ride height with radiused fenders and bad aired out, while other look awesome aired out and bad at ride height. It's rare the a car with radiused fenders looks great doing both (although it's been done). The extremeness of the radius also plays a part.

Lots of options, none are perfect.

From my experience with cups you'll only get about 1-2" at the most. 2" is pushing it, but I guess it depends on the manufacturer. I've only dealt with Umbrella up to this point.
