steering pulls then straightens
so i have this weird thing goin on with my car that just started happening a few weeks ago. after the car sits for a lil while, and i get in to drive it.....the car will pull to the right for the first mile or 2 then it tracks straight from there on. it does it when i leave for work and leaving from work. i dont get it.....never had this happen on any car i've ever worked on. tires are brand new, my drop and camber is even, and my caster is good.

might be the steering rack?

tire pressure? or one of your calipers may be stuck and loosens after driving a bit.

tire pressures all at 46-47 psi. i have tought it could be an internal issue with the rack but not sure. and i always keep my wheels straight when im parked too.
havent thought about the brakes but i would really have no way of checking unless i jacked up the front before i drove it to see if the right side is dragging any. lol its still weird that the pulling to the right stops literally after 1 or 2 miles of driving on a pretty straight road.

i noticed two things when mine did it. It was the rear half shaft bolt was loose. The one that connects to the hub, yeah, the big one. And the steering fluid was low. That was when i bought the car. Awesome safety inspection huh lol

my fluids are all good, but i doubt its anything related to the rear cuz i can literally let go of the wheel and the car will pull to the right.

yeah, i guess that's a possibility if the wheel bearing has just a lil slack in it. but i made sure it was adjusted properly when i put the coilovers on. hmmm. and it cant be the tires cuz it did it with the 235 generals i had to.

it's the brakes man, gotta be. Take them apart and lube the pins and such, see if it still happens. I know you're a mechanic and I never was a "certified" mechanic, but I worked in my share of shops as a younger man. Honestly, wish I had stuck with it, graphic design blows LOL.

yeah, i do work on cars....but havent seen a brake issue that only causes a pull for 1-2 miles then goes away. i'll check on it sometime next week tho

it just sounds to me like that one side is just dragging and once it heats up it sorta frees up. GL..
