Refinishing Inner Barrels..Options?

So the plan on my Weds Kranze Cerberus II was to refinish the inner barrels to a high polish but it seems like there are stretch marks from how the inners are formed creating lines that are extremely difficult to sand down...
So I am thinking about doing a brushed finish or painting with automotive paint.
Does anyone have pics of what they have done to the inner barrels. I know chrome, silver and black may be popular but looking for something different.

Thanks

ahh...maybe I need to start with a more agressive sandpaper..I started at 220 and 500. Looks like 80-120 grit may be the right start

I have Weds Kranze Cerberus I and I had the barrels polished and clear powder coated. I wouldn't polish them unless you plan on clearing them somehow...would be a night mare unless you have a trailer queen.

I will post pics later, but it will give you a good idea.

Here's mine. You can tell the difference in person between the cleared and non-cleared lip. But, it isn't a huge difference and definitely unique. At least it give you an idea. I daily mine, so there is no way they can be just straight polished. I had a real hard time when I dismounted the rims for the last show I said F it...

On the wheels I built for my MR2 I chromed the inners and outers (brushed centers).

My old GS wheels had candy blue powdercoated inners. Was really cool but was hard to sell (I change wheels often).

My current wheels have charcoal powdercoated inners. looks nice, but a bit conservative for my taste.

Flake? Lol. I love flakes. I actually ordered the wrong ones for these wheels. I wanted bigger flakes but they sent me medium. :(

I think the medium size is good considering the area is small...larger ones might over power, Im thinkin".

Haha our rims are going to look very similar. I have a small amount of flake in my clear and I really like it. In fluorescent light it really pops.
